Good morning!!!!

19 this morning, 26 now, wind chill 16.
We are still supposed to get a bunch of rain and high winds tomorrow. Thank goodness they pretreated the roads!

Cold or not, I’ve got to move some boxes and bring my wife’s new desk in for assembly. Once it’s together and placed, I have to install the new modem/router, not going to fool with that until the desk is in place so I don’t have to move cables again. Currently I have 800 mbs available and a modem that supports 200, not really getting the most efficiency.

Stay warm and be careful.

Buckeye, when all the cats show up, how many do you have?

2 of ours including the new one.
3 neighbor outdoor cats.
We’ve had 4 indoor cats of our own at once, only 1 of those is left.

I guess some people would call me a hermit, but I don't think so. I go out regularly to take son to town and to North Bay. I am just not sociable other than online.
I have a large circle of friends, spread all over Ontario, some in Alberta and one in Croatia. I just don't see them very often in winter due to the fact that I never go farther away than North Bay.

I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Stay safe all
I like it that you share with us....
1:30pm temp 33F now 22F winds gust up to 25mph guess Canada cold starting to arrive least until midday Sunday.

Stop at local Kubota dealer for anti gel sold since first of the year, even the showroom starting to look bare, long wait time on wheel spacer, rear tire chains, steering wheel knobs, hats and waiting list for tractor service  but the donuts are still free. ;)

Well it's time to refresh feeding station fill Mrs. wood furnance gonner be nippy one tonight,so all stay safe and warm.
The kubota dealer in Hallettsville Texas is barren of product.

I heard that Toyota anticipated the chip shortage, and stocked up. This allowed them to sell more Tundra trucks than ford or chevy trucks.

VERY windy down here today, 43F at the moment. Hard freeze expected tonight with wind chills down to 20F tomorrow morning.

I can still buy a 12 oz size of my ground coffee, for $6.98 It used to be a pound for that much. Still cheaper than Sixbucks coffee.

Gas jumped overnight on the 13th I believe, from $2.66 to $2.85/gallon. Cheaper than California I suppose. RNG, sorry that you have to use 2 C notes to fill the truck. Hope you get the VW going dependably.

Rich, was there any media coverage of the Florida flat track event?
Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 4:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 63F. Winds light and variable.
Yesterday was windy enough that I spent most of it futzing around in the office.

Don't give up hope, Drew. You'll find another partner someday, as long as you keep looking...

That east coast storm starting Sunday night looks like bad mojo. How many is that this winter, now?

Not like I've ever forgotten my wallet, Ted. The last time, I was 600 miles from home on the first day of a cross country trip, and had no way of buying more fuel. Did the signature card thing at a local branch of my bank, fueled up, and went back home. Wallet was sitting on the headboard of my bed, right where I left it. One of the hazards of getting an early start, when you're not really awake.

The Big Sur version of MacOS comes with a keyboard viewer app, but it doesn't seem to speak Spanish either, Billy.🤷🏼

Still no luck chasing down that sprocket for the chain saw. Lots of places list it for sale on their web site, but none have it in stock. So that puts delivery at least into the middle of February, when the Makita guy said they'd have it back in stock at their national supply center.

At the end of the day I donned a very bright headlamp and crawled around under the truck looking for a brake fluid leak. Of the four wheel calipers, the last one I checked, driver side rear, was wet, with a shadow on the driveway where more fluid had evaporated. Eureka! Finally, a smoking gun! Checked with the Ford dealer for caliper rebuild kits, and not only do they not sell kits, Ford doesn't even sell the calipers. All he could do was offer me no name remanufactured ones at twice the price of what I found at Rock Auto. I guess model year 2000 is now officially "no longer supported". And even though the master cylinder reservoir was full just before I left town to head home, it was pretty much empty when I checked it yesterday. So I think the master cylinder is OK. I ordered a new pair of calipers for the rear axle. Hope FedEx doesn't lose this one, too. Still no sign of the first one, either.

I learned earlier this week that my friend's sister lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday night. She passed peacefully in her sleep. Cancer sucks; she was only 67 and didn't look a day over 50. Hard blow for my friend and especially her sister's husband, but at least she's no longer suffering. And life goes on. Looks like I might be headed down there for a long weekend to offer some moral support. It doesn't hurt that part of the route runs down the coast on Highway 1, and the only reliable vehicles I have right now just happen to be motorcycles.👍🏻

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
My buddy actually TIG welded the grooves in his chainsaw clutch drive gear with hard banding wire filler, and then he ground it down with a little Dremel till back to stock so he has hard surfacing where the chain engages.
