Flooring guy is here pulling up the old laminate, we are replacing it with Life Proof vinyl plank, supposed to be both water and scratch proof, we will see, the laminate was neither..

I put vinyl flooring with a rubber backing in my mud room off the garage. (Another unfinished project). It can get wet. Have thought of putting it in the basement, but that would take a lot of it.

55°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 64° today. Judging by the small puddles here and there, we apparently got a little rain overnight.

Mostly_, my first time driving into St. Charles, I accidentally too the Rock Road exit off I-270 instead of the I-70 exit, and almost immediately realized what I'd done. That was the only time I ever went across that bridge, and I had no desire to ever drive on it again. That was definitely a skinny bridge.

Nice pictures today, Gents.

62F and partly cloudy @ 11:00, headed up to a high of 66F with thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Just got a Lightning Alert on phone, about 25 - 30 miles away ... but it's a broken line of showers/thunderstorms.

Woman is out mowing and blowing the leaves with the Cub before the rain gets here. She woke up today @ 05:00 and wasn't able to go back to sleep ... :(

Need to dispose of chipmunks and unload a 55 gallon aquarium out of the van that I've been hauling around forever.

Other than that nothing special on menu for today. Will likely be an inside day mostly.

Might be a trip to Menards on the menu for later today.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Took a knee rest day. Just piddling around the yard I found freeze damage from February splitting the bark on the trunk of my only live oak tree. The foliage looks healthy and I'm going to see if it self heals. Has anyone else seen damage like this and does the tree survive?

Don, sorry but my guess is that tree won't live, based only on my empirical experience.... I have had the root ball grow a new tree, siamesed to the old tree trunk.

We don't have many acorns this year yet, not sure why. Some years are crazy numbers, will have to wait and see.

Today is Doobie Brothers concert. 11yo Son has diarrhea and may not make it.

I took off, and trying to get a few chores done.

Thomas, please be careful. Loss of smell is harder to diagnose than loss of taste. Time is of the essence, to get the antibody injection, and keep the disease from taking a high toll. If you wait too long, it will be less effective or should I say longer healing time with longer symptom period.

L4N, pressure washers need to be used often, kept out of freezing temps, and like Drew said, best if you fill them with antifreeze/lubricant to keep them from scaling up on the inside. No brand will survive without attention.

Prayers for our team, and our country.
