One thing I learned here, pay three times as much and get an Amish stick built shed delivered and all built ready to go.
I was just starting to wonder if you had something like that as an option, Drew. Several outfits in town have ready made sheds for sale, but they're not Amish. They're not cheap, either. But I think they'll install them for free, and that makes them quick and easy...

Good morning, low temp 43°F and the high will be 48. Wind NNE 7 mph. Rain.

No firewood going in today.

I guess I am not supposed to own a power washer. The replacement for the one I bought in the Spring fired up, but stalled after 15 seconds and was uber hard to pull over. Called the store and they said they would get back to me and so far they haven't. I will be looking for my money back. Between the two of them there is $32.oo worth of liquids in them that I will never see again. This is not counting the gas to go and return them.

I don't know what I will be up to today. I do know the trailer light plug needs changing, might do that. I haven't had lights on the trailer in 2 years, so I think I had better change the plug BEFORE I get caught.

Have a safe day all

Bill, did you run a lot of water through the pump before you started it up? Usually takes a while to get air out of line.
if you want one that you can totally rely upon, scan the Northern Tools catalog. Don't forget the little cans of antifreeze for your
power washer unless it never goes outside.

which reminds me I need to order one for my cheapo HF one, 79 bucks and it's run just fine, perfect for cleaning off lawn mower and walkways.
Ever since I froze up an expensive one early on, I've been a believer in those little cans of antifreeze and pump lube.

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 5:00AM. Overcast with showers at times. High 68F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
We got a little less than a quarter inch of rain yesterday, and it looks like the same will fall today. It's looking like an inside day, and like Drew, I've run out of excuses for putting off housework. But since the coming week all looks wet, I can spread it out and not get too carried away trying to get it all done at once. 😄

Very few people wearing masks in town yesterday, mostly old folks like myself. Covid admissions have fallen by about 50% at the local hospital, but they still have 35 people, 7 of which are in intensive care. 75% of them are not vaccinated.

My first stop of the trip was at the allergist, where I got two shots. Then on to Costco where I got another, for the regular flu, but the 65+ dose. The little pharmicist did a nice job; I didn't feel a thing. They aren't giving out Moderna boosters quite yet. The arm on that side is a little sore this morning, but no other symptoms, so I appear to have cheated death once again.👍:ROFLMAO:

Picked up the wire and junction boxes to rig power to a couple more of those outdoor LED lights, so some attic time will happen in the next few days while it's raining and the sun is hiding behind the clouds. I'll run some more wire for additional security cams, too, since the last two came in earlier this week. They were on back order since July!

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Morning all, sun looks like it's trying to come up, 50s now
Got out weed whacker, hedge trimmer and pole saw to clean up back yard, bushes etc.

Tried to use pole saw to cut up fallen branches, but it was taking too long so got put the small chainsaw and that worked fine, sun was setting, so moving all the detritus will need to wait for this afternoon.

Thomas-feel better soon, sorry to hear you and the Mrs. under the weather
PopG- glad check ride went well and was quick. I think I see my brothers isthmus in the pic.

Rip- 24% hike- sounds like when I was in NJ- fight it! In NJ, so many people were fighting increase, they changed the rules to make it even more difficult to fight, so do it soon before they start the upward spiral.

New neighbor survey done. My property in the back is actually closer to his field than I thought. Which is good, now I know I am not getting to close to his place when I clean out brush.
I guess they are getting ready to build, just in time for winter.

Bought a dyson V7 vacuum, works great but seems fragile for so many $.

Stay safe and be well

Don what does the 7 day average have to drop to to leave the red zone?
My mistake, not average but below thresholds.
Actually it has to stay below for 14 days the rate of the community spread has to be below incidence rate <12.7, positive test rate<15%, and hospitalization rate<. (see below for my county)

Is everyone in the highest zone in your area? Has anyone dropped down a zone? We have been decreasing for a month and a half but are still not below the thresholds to drop us from the RED zone to the ORANGE zone.

  • To move from Red (Uncontrolled Community Spread) to Orange (High Community Spread) phase, the incidence rate needs to be below 12.7 for 14 consecutive days and incidence should be trending down during those 14 days. The incidence rate is currently above 12.7.
  • To move from Red (Uncontrolled Community Spread) to Orange (High Community Spread) phase, the positive test rate needs to be below 15% for 14 consecutive days.
  • To move from Red (Uncontrolled Community Spread) to Orange (High Community Spread) phase, the COVID hospitalization rate for TSA Region O needs to be decreasing for 14 consecutive days.
  • All three indicators above need to be met to move to Orange phase.

49 early and headed to 78 later today. No rain until at least Monday night. My grass is nearly all dormant.
Flooring guy is here pulling up the old laminate, we are replacing it with Life Proof vinyl plank, supposed to be both water and scratch proof, we will see, the laminate was neither. I’m trying not to watch his every move, I always hated people watching me work.
I’ve got to get the MMM off the tractor, service it, the spray rig and the zero turn as well as the golf cart.

Grandson has a ballgame tonight, only three more regular season games. He will have travel ball practice and tournaments all winter weather dependent.

I’m glad to hear that those sick are improving. Our Covid numbers are dropping but not as rapidly as last spring.

I better start something or I’ll do nothing. Have a great day.

Our go-to vac is our Dyson stick vacs. I had an Animal V10 but the dirt ejection broke after 3.5 years (just out of warranty) so Dyson gave a 25% off a new Animal V11. I could not throw away the V10 so I ordered $100 of parts and now we have two.

Roy those recipes look good. The dill pickle soup just need a little tweaking to make it vegan. Dill is growing wild in my garden now with this cooler weather.

Good morning! 61˚F heading to the 80s. The seeds are sprouting in the garden and they need watering. Our newly formed plant based group is meeting this afternoon in a larger room. Half of the people attending last month had to be turned away last meeting because the room was too small - only held 20 people.
