For no-fog glasses this has worked good for me. spray it on. let it dry (I use a hair dryer to speed it to 1 minute and then wipe the lenses. It will work for 2-3 days before you have to re-apply.
Glad that product worked for you, Don, but one of the one star Amazon reviews complains about cracks in the polycarbonate lenses in his glasses. His eye doctor said it was due to the chemicals in that defogger agent.

Eric Salop asked, "Does anyone else wear hearing aids ?"

Only for about 30 years and gradually moving up to more powerful ones over the years.

Drew, the Costco's around here are very busy in the hearing aid dept. and you have to make an appointment a month in advance.
And yes Eric the hearing aid has gone flying several times when I took off the mask, the elastic around the ears is like a slingshot. Like you I just don't wear them together and I am missing out on a lot people are saying behind their mask without having the lip reading ability.

RNG do you think the eye Dr. was grasping for an explanation for defective glasses with that one review out of 19,000 reviews. Hmmm . . .Did the review say which of the ingredients was the culprit. The ingredients listed are: Fluoroalphatic oxyethylene adduct, Propylene glycol butyl ether, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy) ethanol.

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 5:30 AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High near 85F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Do your masks use loops around your ears to stay in place, Eric? If so, maybe something like THIS would work better when you're wearing your hearing aids?

Nice turkey shot, Ron. Thanks for sharing.

Does it seem early for hurricane season to be starting already?

Around here, Mo, the buzzards make short work of any carrion. Nice work on the opener fix.

Hope your friend doesn't run into any problems getting home, Paul. The news makes it sound like Afghanistan is turning into a real cluster.

Neighbor dropped off several lengths of 3" pipe yesterday for the grizzly project. This morning I started thinking about building the frame, and realized I'd have to cope saddles on the end of the pipes. Never really done it before, but knew you can buy templates to help. Couldn't find any with 1-day Prime shipping, so instead found a YouTube video showing a simple technique for the bandsaw or zip blade in an angle grinder. So that'll be my weekend.

We also need some rectangular tubing, so to show him the photos I took at the junkyard, I fired up the big screen and AppleTV and sent them from the iPhone using AirPlay. Worked great, and could even enlarge the images on the phone so they got big on the monitor as well. Think the neighbor is going to spend a lot on steel, not for this project, on Monday after looking at those pichers. 😄

Got a more permanent camera mount on the top of the new water tank yesterday, and swapped the second set of ethernet extenders in to make sure they work. Everything came up first time with no issues. Gonna need to mount some blocks at the top of the tank where the ladder lands, though. The plastic is really slippery there and the ladder tries to slide sideways.o_O Can you tell I'm not happy with the situation in this video?
And yeah, I DO tend to talk to myself when I get nervous...

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Yesterday we read where the CDC recommended 2 weeks between vaccinations and the flu shot and today Medscape says:

"Q: Will the planned administration of booster COVID-19 shots this fall affect the number of people who get the flu vaccine or how it's distributed?

Pavia: It creates a lot of logistical challenges, particularly for hospitals and other places that need to vaccinate a large number of their employees for flu and that will need to give COVID boosters at about the same time period. It also creates logistical challenges for doctors' offices.

But we don't know of any reason why you can't give the two shots together."

So I called my brother who got both shots (flu and 3rd Moderna Covid Vaccine) yesterday he said he had a rough night with chills headache and aches in both arms - even though he got both injections in only one arm. (This sound like how I felt after my 2nd Moderna jab in Feb.)

Bird, how are you felling after the third jab?

No, I think the ethanol is the problem. Years ago I had the same issue, and the optometrist asked what I used to clean them. I said rubbing alcohol, and was told to use a cleaner made just for eyeglasses, with no alcohol or other solvents. I buy it by the gallon from McMaster-Carr. That was over ten years ago, and I'm only on my second gallon.

I have a shelf full of anti-fog sprays I've tried, and none of them work very well. I've even tried spit, potato juice, and diswashing liquid. A helmet company called Schuberth came up with a permanent coating for their visors that was very effective. Moisture still accumulated inside the visor, but whatever the coating was it prevented the moisture film from turning opaque. Things got a tiny bit fuzzy, but you could still see where you were going. They abandoned that technology when the new "pin-lock" inserts came on the market. But I find the pin-lock adds two more layers of plastic to look through, and it permanently adds a bit of distortion that I don't like. So now I have a visor for summer and a visor for winter because the pin-loc isn't easily removed or replaced.

went for a nice walk in the local park, found one tree just jammed full of seed pods. If every one of those seeds grew a new tree
I'd say that tree has reproduction down pat.

then went food shopping, found some nice prepared salads, one with kale and other superfoods so they say. They had really nice home made
turkey burgers at the deli counter, all colorful with little green and red pepper bits in them. Was hoping to do that on grill for tonight but I think rain will
keep me cooking indoors.

Don, are we sure Rick is ok? or perhaps tuned out?

Good morning.
It’s 75 and sunny high of 80 and increasing chance of rain through the day.

Yesterday was a busy day. Got lots done in the shop, one boxed up and off with FedEx, 2 more moving right along. Got the pastures mowed, my helper was late getting to the job, as he was napping, but we did get some time in. Rehearsal went really well.

Today will be in the shop later, but better spread manure while it’s not raining. Hopefully I’ll get some time to tinker with last nights recordings as well.

txdon asked, "Bird, how are you felling after the third jab?"

When we got jabbed, the nurse told us to take some Tylenol when we got home. Margaret remembered and brought me a couple of them as soon as we got in. So for most of the afternoon, I thought this time isn't going to be as bad as before. Wrong again! Now I usually sleep on my left side, and I got the shot in my left arm. As soon as I went to bed, I knew I had a problem, so I turned back and forth, finally hurt so bad that I got up about midnight and took more Tylenol and eventually went back to sleep. I sure have a sore arm. Margaret says she didn't get much sleep for hurting all over last night.

But hopefully we're nearly over it. I took more Tylenol when I got up, and I just finished mowing the yard.

Good morning to all! Low of 59.... they have the same temp forecast for the low for the next 6 days.... looks odd to see that uniformity. High today should be around 84. No rain until maybe Monday.

I didn't get into town for the landscape timbers yesterday. Probably won't happen until next week, hopefully on Tuesday. I started putting down the landscape fabric in the big bed along the fence.... slow going for sure. We only have about 600sq ft to go. Maybe get done with it this weekend.

Ron, nice turkey pic.... they sure did get big fast!

Wng, glad the rest of the bees decided to evacuate the tree. Hopefully they won't come back.

Drew, do you know what kind of tree that is? Not too many legume type trees around.... I don't recognize the leaf.

Thomas, I hope you and Phil are all set and secured to ride out the storm. Looks like it can wreak some havoc at landfall. Stay safe!

Rng, climbing that ladder did not look like fun..... I have some pieces of innertube that I wrap around the ladder legs at the top whenever there is a 'slippery surface' that the ladder has to lean against. Works really well to prevent sliding sideways.... at least I think so....

Everyone have a great weekend!
