Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 5:30 AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High near 85F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Do your masks use loops around your ears to stay in place, Eric? If so, maybe something like
THIS would work better when you're wearing your hearing aids?
Nice turkey shot, Ron. Thanks for sharing.
Does it seem early for hurricane season to be starting already?
Around here, Mo, the buzzards make short work of any carrion. Nice work on the opener fix.
Hope your friend doesn't run into any problems getting home, Paul. The news makes it sound like Afghanistan is turning into a real cluster.
Neighbor dropped off several lengths of 3" pipe yesterday for the grizzly project. This morning I started thinking about building the frame, and realized I'd have to cope saddles on the end of the pipes. Never really done it before, but knew you can buy
templates to help. Couldn't find any with 1-day Prime shipping, so instead found a
YouTube video showing a simple technique for the bandsaw or zip blade in an angle grinder. So that'll be my weekend.
We also need some rectangular tubing, so to show him the photos I took at the junkyard, I fired up the big screen and AppleTV and sent them from the iPhone using AirPlay. Worked great, and could even enlarge the images on the phone so they got big on the monitor as well. Think the neighbor is going to spend a lot on steel, not for this project, on Monday after looking at those pichers.
Got a more permanent camera mount on the top of the new water tank yesterday, and swapped the second set of ethernet extenders in to make sure they work. Everything came up first time with no issues. Gonna need to mount some blocks at the top of the tank where the ladder lands, though. The plastic is really slippery there and the ladder tries to slide sideways.

Can you tell I'm not happy with the situation in this video?
And yeah, I DO tend to talk to myself when I get nervous...
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
