was looking awfully quiet in Kubota dealer this morning.
No less than four sales guys behind desks in a very empty place.
Lots of equipment, which was nice, Toro and Ariens snowblowers.
I wanted the EFI 24 inch model, 369cc lots of power in a small frame,
kind of like a muscle car...
It got a little embarrassing for the clearly new sales guy. First he didn't know that if you
hold down on the auger control and then engaged the movement clutch, the auger clutch was ganged and the blower
ran until movement stopped. I showed him how it worked, even not running when you hold the right one down, then the left, you can let
go of the right and technically have one handed drive. I asked him how the assisted steering worked and he was unclear on that other than it was easier
out on the snow vs the showroom floor. Ok, and I'm thinking that didn't answer my question at all. Finally I asked him how
many zerks were on the machine, thinking one or two.
Zerk?
Oh dear.
Um, grease fittings.
Oh, I don't think any actually.
So I reach down at what looked like a main fitting on the rear axle and sure
enough green grease comes off on my finger.
Clearly I will need to read the manual...
Everyone charges the same for this snowblower and this place will assemble it, deliver it and pick it up if need be.
Plus I've dealt with the Kubota dealer for almost 20 years and one of the guys in parts welcomed me back by name, after 7 years.
That's pretty impressive...
It will likely never ever snow again.
fed the birds, capsicum seems to be helping. Deer haven't come back nor the squirrels. I'm sure they will.
sorry for terrible picture
