Good morning! 31 now and still cloudy. May get to 35 with some flurries later.

Got asked to be on a work conference call today. Seems they have an issue that has everyone stumped, so they want some input on which way to go. Needed to look up some info..,my password expired, so had to sort that out. Good to go now. My boss is going to list today as a work day to cut down sick leave burn. Still have 200 hours of grandfathered sick leave in the bank.

Got some surplus reloading stuff to put on fleaBay today. Reloading equipment is getting all kinds of activity. Time to clear out the surplus. Got some bike stuff to list too. One of the things I decided to do while laying in the hospital was to get rid of stuff!

Everyone stay safe out there

30°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 46° today. Looks like we're getting a few of days in the mid-40 before dropping back to the 30s for the weekend.

I have a Norinco AK-84S (5.56) that I bought back in the late '80s, Paul. It's one of a small handful of firearms that I'd be hard-pressed to part with.

Good morning. It was 45° this morning and fullsun should get us to low 70's this afternoon.

My understanding is that .. with Medicare, you're not obligated to sign up for your Part A at age 65, if you're covered by other medical insurance. I didn't apply until I was 69 and retiring. Since part of my retirement included medical coverage for an additional year all I had to do is furnish an affidavit, from my employer, certifying that I was still covered by medical plan when I applied for Medicare.

I also didn't start my SS until age 70 and it increased significantly from what it would have been at age 62 or FRA.

My neighbor to the west is getting ready to replace his front fence so.. I installed the hydraulic tree / post puller on the LS 55 HP tractor and went over and took out his old fence which was 4x4 posts, on 8' centers with four rows of 16' corral boards. It took just over 3 hours to pull about 1300' of fence line.

He's hiring a friend's son to come make some money moving everything to two burn piles.

Today's plan is to head to Richmond and Katy to do some errands then back by lunch time.

Another neighbor want to burn some brush piles and asked for our To provide standby coverage for him so .. I'll go get our Wildland (brush / grass) Truck and standby for him. We had our monthly Apparatus Check last evening and I did the Wildland Truck so it's ready to go.

Rains are in our forecast for Wednesday .. maybe Thursday before getting back to MY projects.

Texas has a pretty good website for Vaccine availability but, in our County, only 100 doses of the Moderna have been distributed to the Community hospital in Columbus. Presently the hospital is it for Colorado County.

I'm going to call the hospital today to see if I can get "on their list". Until then .. like RNG .. I'll be a hermit.

Hop everyone's 2021 is getting off to a good start.

Prayers to all.

Good morning! 34˚F frost and heading to the high 60s with Southerly winds.

BEF, the WEP does not affect pensions from jobs you paid SS into. That one job that for a few years you did not pay SS would be a question to ask them, I saw nothing on the web sites that addresses the partial question.
I looked at another web site that has their paperwork on-line for the covid vaccine and there is a question about GBS. It dose not ask about medicine for it just have you ever . . . What the pharmacy does with the answer is the question to ask.

Eric, I like that Sheep alarm box, maybe one day it will actually have the electronics in it that preform the functions on the buttons. Until then you will just have to settle for the liquid alternative.

My Mom gets her covid vaccination today, My Aunt pick up the paperwork yesterday from the drugstore and while she was there somehow got on the list for next week.
So I called them to also get on the list but only got a recording that they are not putting people on the list anymore. Looking at the dosages given to the locations on the TX health dept. website they have not changed since last week.

Popgadget you can't retire if you never considered yourself working. I have a cousin like that. He is self employed, has a big truck with a lift, and goes around the county fixing heavy machinery, says he's never worked a day in his life. Kyle has met his son.

Does that relieve him of all liability?

Absolutely not. Just peace of mind for all of us. I can hang around to watch what he does. Winds are calm here today so far.

Almost forgot to mention that we had two tornadoes touch down out in the valley west of here yesterday. It's very rural farm country there, and there was minor damage reported to a barn, but that's it thank goodness!

All this talk of "evil arms" that California's Assault Weapon Ban forbids. I'm jealous. But yesterday I used my stimulus to take Sleepy Joe's advise and get a shotgun. The ol' 870 was loosening my teeth with buckshot loads, so I'm retiring it for a gas gun. Then jumping through a bunch of hoops to extend the mag tube and stick a sling on it. More feel good rules that have no safety impact. :irked: But I'll sleep better nights with this safety gear at the ready...

Good morning to all! Low of 24, up to 47 today. Still no precipitation in the forecast. Drought conditions continue to expand and get worse.

No word on the vaccine roll out here other than meeting the required number given..... I believe they are giving it to front line workers at this time only. The main focus of any public announcements is about the current numbers and, of course, social distancing and mask usage.

No shop time yesterday.... it was grooming day for our pups, and errand day in between drop off and pickup..... then the afternoon was wind free and 50 degrees.... took the opportunity to take down all the Christmas lights / decorations. Those totes will get up into the attic today.

Probably some shop time will occur today, still have some final touches to the 'rearrangement plan', hanging all the pneumatic tools, hoses, and power cords in the designated spots. Then I can get started on the next projects.

Everyone have a great day!
