33F heavy misting enough so icy highway spreading sand salt mix,mid 30's for high clearing sky evening.

2020 been good year all in all except for the lack of rain and covid 19,fingers cross 2021 will be tad better also for for all....Buppies weather forecasting will be in my favor. ;)

Outside chores done E muffin time. :licking:

Yesterday took short hike place game came with hopes getting pictures large male bobcat been in the area for while,as I was returning to pickup notice highway department guys unloading bulldozer and we were having good chat, than number of turkeys flew and ran across the road from old farm field, branches snapping as turkey landed in trees loud clucking as they ran thru the woods 30+ yards from us :confused3: several mins. later bobcat appear crossing the road with carrying it's meal, all 3 of us stood motionless and watch just another of mother natures ways, we agree it was female because of it's weight and bone structure...hopes there will be kittens come 2021.

Plans for today...not really sure yet.

Enjoy the day all.

I haven’t seen a bobcat since I moved from NC nearly fifty years ago now. They were fun to watch but a mrnace to the chickens.

That speaker looks like it was "Made at the Factory"!

rs, I was told not to put cat poop in compost pile, because they eat meat.

We are assessing new cell phone services, to see if there are better deals.

Good morning! Raining hard and 37˚F. only warming up to 41˚F. Happy birthday to Roy's sister and Margaret.

Heading to the store for the last time this year, no black ice but on the list is black eyed peas.

No luck in finding a facility that has the covid vaccine in my county. My brother went over the vaccine distribution list I sent him to find the facility that was getting 1,000 doses but that location is 3 hours away and I do not know if you have to live in the county you get the vaccine from. Has anyone heard if you can cross counties or state lines? Bird were there any disqualifying question on the form you filled out?

56 dropping to 45 today, spotty rain ahead of some heavier stuff tomorrow.

I called the health dept. in my county (Wicomico) yesterday and was told 2-3 weeks and that ***** would be administered at the Civic Center.

I’ve got a bunch of chores around the house today so the only seat time I get will be in a chair.

Happy birthday to the ladies.

Have a good day all.

Well, chores are done!
This is one of the few times I wish I had a bigger truck! Quite a bit of stuff (mostly cardboard) went to the dump, as well as a couple old appliances (air filter, and miscellaneous other items) that should have gone months ago. Pretty full load for a Tacoma!
Rest of the day...putter around a bit...maybe a movie or two.
Step Daughter is going to spend New Year's Eve with some friends, and she'll stay where she is tonight...good plan. I haven't stayed up to ring in the New Year's in several years and I don't expect tonight to be any different...same with the wifey

If the forecast holds, we're getting 5-7 inches of snow this weekend...I could enjoy that!

Don, I was more than a little bit surprised at the lack of questions. I think there were 5 questions to just check yes or no; Have you been diagnosed with covid? Have you been exposed that you know of? Are you currently sick? And I forgot the others. They made a copy of each of our drivers licenses and insurance cards and medicare cards, so they had our address and phone number. I saw at least 3 other people that "appeared" to be much younger than expected. And they had fewer customers than I expected. But other than the little bit of paper work, the ONLY question I was asked was "which arm do you want it in?" Of course Margaret was carrying her oxygen bottle with the hose to her nose and it wasn't even mentioned by anyone. And I was wondering when we get the second shot, but Margaret says they told her they'd call to schedule it. So I'm assuming that with my bad hearing I just missed that.

Finally, the last day of a very strange year

67°F and .18 inches rain

Need to finish up my mowing but rain forecast until afternoon. No other definite plans. See what the wx brings.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

That's a good-looking cabinet, Paul. HF attenuator is always a good thing, and I wish more builders would use those dual jacks. What is the switch for?
Thanks. I understand that you are a bassist as well?
They’re not dual jacks, just Speakon. The combo Speakon/ 1/4” are green so they’re easy to ID. Unless you meant having a pair of input connectors......
The switch selects an alternate padding choice for the midrange to give it a bit of a bump in the 2.2 k range, primarily optimized for upright bass.

I try to stay up and ring in the new years........ But usually fall a sleep in my chair or give up about 11:00.

When the grandkiddos were younger we would look forward to having them over for new years so their parents could go out.

The boys are old enough to stay home alone now. So the only time they are over for the night is if their parents decide they want some piece and quiet Or we shang-hi them for a vacation.

Wife had her shot this morning. She got the Moderna. Her only issue was an upset stomach afterwards, but we are figuring a slight allergy to an ingredient.

success!
printed out UPS delivery picture and went up private lane with 6 houses on it next to me.
thankfully at first house there were my boxes sitting out in the pouring rain, which wrecked the outer boxes
but inside was fine. Assembled the saw, filled it up with chain oil, and charged the batteries.
All's well that ends well though lady's mother probably thinks I was a grouchy old man when I saw my packages
getting wrecked out side, where they had been for two days. Admit to a little eye rolling and tossing the "heavy" package
up in the air to make a point... Granted, I'm new and she doesn't know who I am. But if they were xmas presents for kids
I would have been pretty annoyed. Our mail boxes are right next to each other so my address is no mystery...

31F and cloudy @ 12:00, headed up to a high of 34F with only a 3% chance of precipitation.

Installed IR light switch in hall cleaning closet. Seems to work well at factory default ... there's about a 1 second delay before the light comes on after you open the door, doesn't appear to have any issues with staying on while you are there, and turns off in fairly short order after the door is closed.

Refill feeders on the list for the day, still a little left in squirrel feeder.

Local grocery store is open until 20:00 today ... so I expect that somebody will have to swing by there for the sauerkraut and sausage for New Year's Day dinner ...

Disappointing to hear from our Governor that 60% of nursing home staffs have elected not to take the COVID vaccine.

Add to that, the news about a medical center employee up in WI intentionally removing 500 doses of the vaccine from refrigeration which caused them to have to be thrown away really makes ya wonder ...

Hopefully 2021 will turn out to be a better year than 2020 has been.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

That is all the plowing I am doing for 2020. Both neighbours done as well as this place. Tractor is full of fuel and for 2020 I used 48 US gallons all year. Now to track the annual fuel consumption with the straight pipe.

Sure does ... very nice ...

rs, I was told not to put cat poop in compost pile, because they eat meat.

Yup ... the poops go into the toilet and get flushed.

The urine clumps are what gets dumped into the compost ... ;)

Good luck in your search ...

forgot to post these earlier. Local tourist train came through on Christmas Day, running on coal it appears.
I think the whole trip is 9 miles, train has been here longer than most of us. New Hope to Ivyland PA.
Now they run diesel during the summer to prevent brush fires from sparks.
I haven't been on this train in 30 years.
