Rswyan, thanks, I have had similar thoughts. Possibly writing something and placing in our Trust binder along with my thoughts how our granddaughter might subdivide our property long after we are gone, something I toy in my mind almost anytime I’m out mowing for hours.

I think about such things, with my FIL passing, how MIL will know how to do things. I’ve offered to help, but she is independent and won’t normally accept help.
If I was to pass, so much my wife wouldn’t know to do to keep the place up.

Book says one source says Capt Abraham’s MIL (President Lincoln’s GM’s mom ) was an aunt of Danial Boone. Other sources give another name as his wife, and the author believe the other source.

I make the pizza dough with my sour dough bread starter, make the sauce with tomatoes and Italian seasoning and make the base hummus from chickpeas and spices, top it off with onions, peppers, garlic, pineapple, olives, sliced tomatoes, steamed kale, and then sprinkle nutritional yeast on the top (for cheese flavor).

I could see me trying a modified version of that.

Ron and Kyle, you both said you gave up Flowmax because of problems, do you mind sharing? I’ve been taking it a year or so, still get up once a night.

Postcard type day, blue sky and about 80 with very low humidity. Got the grass mowed, but that .8 of rain from Thursday was gone, just like a dust bowl out there.
Got my driveway, turnouts, buildings, etc... all sprayed with glyphosate, just have to go around the property and spray the vines and weeds along the perimeter.
Buppies, glad your pigs were not roving wild hogs.
Nice pictures again today!

"Buppies, glad your pigs were not roving wild hogs."

Randy .. domesticated hogs can do as much damage as feral hogs. They all root up the ground .. as Buppies can testify.

Pigs .. gonna be pigs.

fireman neighbor in charge of selling all my small tools and equipment.
He said "you were right, the firemen came out and this stuff was like candy to them". He said he collected several thousand dollars
for the small stuff alone, everything from tools to truck tiedowns to pull chains, Warn portable winch, seems like an endless supply of stuff I collected along the way, and since I can't use it for at least two more years, storage was both too expensive and just not sensible.

My older brother is very complimentary of my 35 year old neighbor, good heart and good effort. These are the folks why I wanted to live in this area, all long time
farm stock and tight knit families. And since I was a fireman like them, we all knew and understand the ethos of first responder and helping others. Now it's my time to be helped and I'm grateful.

And .. the bright side is .. when you get better, you can buy new toys .. specific to your needs at that time.

It's great to have good neighbors.
