Good Morning! 50G @ 5:45AM. Cloudy and windy at times with periods of rain. High 51F. Winds S at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Picked up another 1.3" of rain last evening and night, but the front moved through around midnight bring some 45 MPH gusts and it's been dry but blowing hard ever since. Gonna need a nap this afternoon to help make up for the lost sheep, er, sleep.
Left the shop last night about 7:30, not soon enough to avoid the rain. Got wet getting into and out of Costco, but the fresh seed loaf and rotisserie chicken more than made the effort worthwhile. Got the horn relay mounted and wired, also remounted the rear windshield wiper motor, and installed the SPOT Tracer. I was excited to see the young mechanic had the gas tank out in preparation for installing it, but since he spent more time talking about it than doing it, it was still sitting on the floor waiting on him when he left for the day. His parting remark was "I've been here since nine this morning and it's five now, so it's time to go home!". Last I heard, the boss was complaining he wasn't taking time out on his card for lunch, there's more work to do than people to do it and overtime pay is available. Not the best way to get that raise the young man sez he so desperately needs, or demonstrate that he's willing to show some extra effort to earn it. Entitlement generation?:confused2:
Good day to stay inside and finish off he taxes, but not before refilling the hummingbird feeders. The little devils are going through about a quart a day, and it might be time to set out another feeder. The wind and rain doesn't seem to bother them, and the aerobatics involved in getting their little beaks into the feeders as they swing in the wind is nothing short of amazing!
TGIF!!!:drink:
