That ice is pretty to look at from inside a warm house, but it can be a real pain for all the issues it causes.
Am I seeing some power lines running through those pictures.

Scrambler, which model of F150 was $46k? We get ads here in for $30k (US) Toronto for a nicely equipped Supercrew 4 x 4. And that is before you negotiate.[/QUOTE

Randy, car looks good. Hope the new owner has fun with it.

The guy just asked me to flush the toilet several times so he could watch the flow to make sure everything looked good. My tank is a 1,500 gallon concrete one with a concrete lid. $385, after the senior citizen discount. More than last time, a bunch of years ago.

I believe ours is 3 tanks in a row, each 500 gallon.

Mostly, here is the bed extender pic requested.View attachment 640704

Kyle 400 sounds about right from Ace Hardware in Giddings. If it's not going to rain for a while no water was necessary but if the ground gets saturated you should put water in the septic tank to keep it down. I filled my half full of water the last time I had it cleaned.

My garden soil is a mixture of homemade compost from my 60 gallon compost barrel and mushroom compost and garden club compost and acid compost (to offset alkaline well water). The greenhouse SIG does free PH soil test and my results will be available Tuesday.

Thanks Don. Bed extender looks handy. Soil science is half the battle.

Sunny day, hit 40°
Son went to the XFL game in DC.
I put new combo lock on barn, old one wasn’t always unlocking.
Here’s the inside of a Schlage combo lock.
IMG_3521.JPG
Combo Motor turns a screw drive, that pushes down a plastic piece and presses a pin into a slot that allows the outside handle to catch.
The key turns a cog that pushes down the plastic and pin.
For some reason the pin wasn’t engaging with the combo motor, I suspect the screw drive had slipped and it wasn’t pushing enough. When I took it apart it fell apart. I got it back together and it now works, might put this lock on back garage door.
Made Costco run. Visited 90 yo friend who just moved to assisted living, just got out of rehab center after being sick.
More ribs in IP.
Need a couple dollies, and try to get old freezer on them to wheel to back of basement.
Worked on taxes some more, showing a huge refund. I’m having too much taken out, need to change my w4.

Good evening all. 34F this morning, partly cloudy, calm wind. Sky cleared off while riding, wind became moderate, and high temp was 62F. bike ride this morning and early afternoon, nap, sky became cloudy while napping, had dinner with wife, stepdaughter, and her boyfriend.
David, rain does get in the way here some times. Need to start riding more miles and more often for Easter Hill country (about 175 miles in three days).
Jim, One of the things I remember about the U2 was the lack of separation between Vne and stalling speed, about ten knots If I recall correctly. If the airplane is stalled, it was a sure bet recovery would put you over the Vne and airplane would breakup. I cannot imagine flying over Russia like that for hours at a time!
Drew sorry to hear about MRI, have had lots of them as a lab rat, but I don't have the fused neck like you have.
Ron hope you get batery worked out nice moon pic
Billy I don't think you are obsessed with septic tanks  Had septic tank for 20 years in MO, had it pumped at about 10 years, could have gone longer, had tank hear pump 2 years ago, .50 a gallon (1000 gal tank) with just 2 of us it won't fill as fast.
Don good luck with your potatoes
Roy sorry about the clogging problems, and the lack of cabin heat. I am going to guess it is still warmer than open station tractor for snow removal :2cents:
Drew glad you are helping neighbor widow, if i was losing you as a neighbor I would be disappointed!
Rick you are warm down there.
RNG enjoy your new mantel on concrete king :)
Ron that sounds like a hefty lens for not using a tripod
Ted glad your wind dropped off.
Ron glad you got radiator cleaned out.
Scrambler, good luck with keeping you old truck running, did that for years just with 60's and 70's technology.
Kyle, when my septic here got pumped was in summer, and the guy recommended to at cat or dog food to extra flushes for a couple of days, with your crew may not need extra flushes.
Phil is the extra ice off of trees?
Randy surprised you sold Monte Carlo, what is going to replace it?
Don thanks for bed extender pic, I feel like my bed is short at 7.5 feet.
Nice tree ice pics all
David nice pics showing trusses going up. Is it easier as you crew gains experience?
Buckeye nice you got lock working again. Sounds like you got your tax questions all answered.
prayers for all

Thanks Mostly. Don’t know about easier, experience gets the kinks out of the theory. Should have it by the time #6 is in place.

We live up on a rise in a windy place, so on days like today, when the general forecast is for 60-70 mph plus winds and heavy rain, we can be fairly sure we are in for a battering. My wife is getting concerned that I left her car too close to a neighbour's crumbling wall. I ought to go out and move it to put her mind at rest, plus it will let nature's car wash clean the other side. ;)

Kyle, I always put a ton of water back into the sceptic. Best also to have it emptied at a time of year when the ground won't be saturated. I can't think of a place where I would want to keep one of those poo test probes, so will stay with having it emptied once every 3 years, they charge us regular suckers 150 pounds.

Sodamo, that looks a wider span than I first expected, great excuse to get the tractor out. Are flip-flops and a straw hat mandatory safety wear for construction sites on Big Island ? :)

"Phil is the extra ice off of trees?"
Yes. wind blown of the branches.
13 here this morning. 2 days of wet ahead. Not sure if snow or rain.

   / Good morning!!!! #106,474
Good morning, t'was a chilly night last night was. -18°F now and going to a high of 27. Wind SSE 9 mph. Flurries.

About an inch of snow flurries coming today and 4" of snow overnight tonite. Seat time tomorrow for sure.

Energy conservation today in preparation for the plowing tomorrow.

Have a safe say all

   / Good morning!!!! #106,475
Drinking first cup of coffee. 23° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with snow in afternoon. No plans for today. Maybe some NASCAR. No pictures of snow moon yesterday. Clouds all night. But did get a front yard picture for Eric. After neighbor finally took his garbage cans in.

I have been trying to get pictures of the Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers at my feeds. They are not very cooperative. Here is Downy. Then Hairy. Big difference in size and length of beak. The Downy is a male, Hairy is a female. Males are usually larger.
IMG_1592 (2).JPGIMG_1613 (2).JPG

Mostly, weight helps with stabilizing my hold on lens. Bracing elbow to my chest. All my lenses have Image/Optical Stabilization. Which helps a lot with getting a blur free picture. Even then moon was bouncing around in the viewer. I give a lot of credit to speed of camera and amount of light still in sky at time I took picture. In total darkness pictures do not come out as good even on a tripod. I need to learn more about how to use more of the many settings that today's camera's have.

Buckeye, good repair on lock. I need to change my deduction also. But waitng until I do not need to file with wife on taxes.

David, good seat time.

Phil, stay warm.

Randy, I thought you had a motor upgrade for Monte Carlo? :confused3:

Drew, hope you are feeling better.

Roy, clogged snow blower not good. I use DuPont Teflon Snow and Ice repellent on my snowblower. It's more durable than PAM.

Looking, -18° F. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Looks like we may not get any - temperatures this winter.

Scrambler, I have not bought a new vehicle in many years. Here in Metro Detroit there are a lot of short lease vehicles in the used market. I have bought what I want for a lot of savings. Do not need to deal with dealer upgrades most of the time. Put your own upgrades on.

Prayers and best wishes for every one.

Good Morning All.

28 and clear going to 52...last sunny day until Friday.

Nice snow ice and bird pix.

Davis, your project is shaping up nicely. Thanks for docu-photoing it.

BEF, never knew how those locks worked.

Eric, I think you're getting the wind we had the other day. Our wind put trees into 3 metro area houses, and knocked out power at half our county schools, so they closed them all. Hope you get through it okay.

Good Morning. It's a humid 64° here this morning and we should see 73° this afternoon. Some much needed rain is expected by lunch time and we have 80% rain chances from Monday thru Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

I'm noticing a reduction in water pressure so need to replace the sediment filter in line before our water softener today.

Then a board meeting to attend at 2 p.m. hopefully it will be short.

If we do actually get some rain today ... I'll work on finishing the mobile base for my 20 ton press.

Ron ... as usual, great pictures!

Randy ... I was going to ask the same question. Thought you had a new crate engine for your MC?

David ... projects go better ... with a good team.

Roy ... hoping you got your snow blower un clogged? Im glad to ... not have to deal with SB's here. Those SB's ... can be SB's.

Hope everyone has a nice a Sunday and end to your weekend.

Prayers to all.
