Hawkeye, hope your review goes fair. When my current boss became my boss, we had a bit of a tenuous relationship, but now, he realizes that I'm his "lowest maintenance" employee, and things go fairly smooth. I did make a mistake the other day on some parts, and a scientist lady jumped on me a bit in an email, and my boss quickly came to my defense. He was more worked up over it than I. She wound down, I got her stuff reworked expediently, and the roads are smooth again. Multiple mistakes were made, which led up to my mistake.

Mistakes are a fact of life, and everybody's gonna make 'em sooner or later, Kyle. What matters is how the situation is treated. In my job as a welding engineer, much effort, time, and money was expended on the parts by the time my guys got 'em to weld together. And a LOT of mistakes made by others caused problems when we tried to make the welds. The first reaction from some of our customers was to blame the weldors, who in most cases just turned out to be the bearer of bad news. Rather than engage in a lot of finger pointing, I tried to get people focused on WHY the problem happened, and then WHAT to do about it. Sounds like your new boss did the right thing by you, Kyle, and I'm glad you were able to get it all worked out. Also sounds like he might be a keeper, 'cept if you decide to go after his job yourself.:D

If you can remove the top slop and lay down some highway fabric with your stone or gravel you will have a good base.

Yes!! I recently found a local supplier of the highway fabric and he has the cheapest price around. I still need to let it dry out a bit or else I will just get the tractor stuck and make a bigger mess. We have had over an inch of rain with this system so far!

And all this time I thought progressive meant being a 60+ year old lady shopping braless...

Thanks RNG. After running the 1st part, I went to find the end user for a first article, but they hadn't come to work yet (9:30am). So I ran them because this person is notorious for coming in around lunch time.

How can you complain if you're not there to do your job? Sounds like someone has a bit of a Napoleon complex.

The cafeteria at work was across a fairly busy street. We had a crosswalk, but no traffic light. After several of the senior chemists and physists almost got wiped out in cross traffic because they refused to look both ways, they had to station a crossing guard there at noon time. Reminded me of being in third grade again.

Thanks for the info on the locks Ron. It looks like I could use either one.
I got the Ring installed and working. I got it from Costco with the year subscription included like you recommended, also got it on cyber Monday for $70 off. (I did notice Costco took the $70 AFTER charging tax on the full amount, that's not right is it?) I'm trying to figure the fastest way to talk to the person at the front door. I think hit open on the notification, turn iPhone sideways and tap the microphone.

DABSGT, Sorry to hear the tragic ending to the friend of the family, sad. I did't feel like feeling bad either this year and did not get the flu shot. The year I got the flu worst was when I got the shot. The DR. said I got a different strain, well of course I would, nobody get the popular strains of the flu because the vaccine stopped it from spreading.

Drew, your truck does not need the coolant changed to fix the symptoms you've told us about. Don't let them give you the run around. Don't shell out unnecessarily.

Sorry about your friend.

Frankly speaking, I'm late to the party as usual.....

Sorry about your grandma Ramman.

What is breaking on those Internationals?

A friend just got back a few weeks ago and said the experience was very somber.

Nice views. Spend time with grandpa when you can.

Dabst, I can't begin to even imagine. Sorry.

Still very busy.

Going to pray hard for Randy this week. Starting right now.

My Gammy used to say, "The man who never made a mistake never made anything"... Roll with it, brother.

When the bell rings. Sassy is at the door before I can answer. I answer using one of my echo’s. Still seems like it takes forever for the screen to come up. But it is less than 30 seconds.

PS. I went with August for house. In case of an emergency. I can unlock door from anywhere in house. Plus I can check to see if it is locked of unlocked from anywhere that I have cellular. Then lock or unlock it as needed. It also ties into my security system.
I have a hidden echo that I can tell to lock and unlock door. Alexa asks for a code to unlock.

I agree, will be interesting discussion 7:30am tomorrow.

tuckered out from driving, at least Sunday traffic wasn't too bad.
nice memorial, place was small and packed, about 50 people. I think the entire block of his neighbors came out to pay their respects.
I had to leave once the memorial stopped and the food came out, noise level too high for me.

Kyle, your comment brought back great memories. Going to New England liberal school next to art college. It was 1970-71 and I believe Playtex must have
been moaning about the loss of sales. Not many women wore bras during that period. Some should have...

time to chill.

RNG, I hope you get a big check in the mail. Really.
PG&E: California power firm to pay $13.5bn to wildfire victims - BBC News
I hope you'll show us a picture of that fire truck running and pumping.
a drone video would be nice...:D
just remember the all important tank to pump valve,
or you'll be sucking air forever.
I would give those handles some extra color so you don't have to think in an
emergency.

The low cost may have been noice but with the speed which cars could then achieve it was very easy to outdrive your headlights.
Back in 73 we had 100w halogens in a Corolla and were hitting 110MPH on a narrow back country road. There was no way that could have been done on sealed beams. (this was in a motorsport event and the corolla had been "breathed upon")
You are right, could not have been done on sealed beams, and it couldn稚 be done on a stock motor. Modifications are modifications.

speaking of lights, how are the lights on the new Massey Randy? Have you had it out at night?
Might be getting a little cold for nighttime joy rides...

I did not have luck finding reliable upgrade kits for existing halogens on my Kubota, and I wound up just adding
extra lights to it, like I did my larger Massey and since they are LED, they consume almost nothing.

The projector lights in my 2015 Ram are the best lights I've ever had for both power and beam pattern. And while I think they are LED
they may not be. Someone will know...

there should be a question on every driver's exam to explain the concept of overdriving your headlights.
And what a blind curve is.
If you can't see, are you feeling lucky?

DabsGT, sorry about your friend, seems a shame when we can’t see a positive way out.

Another busy day here, similar to yesterday. Trying to get ready for Christmas with my procedure coming up Friday, I’m only supposed to be down for 2-3 days, but who knows.
Had Mexican for lunch today, probably shot my sodium allowance for the week.
Church was good today, great music.
Hope everyone had a good day, prayers for us all.

Have not had the lights on at night, a little chili unless necessary. I suspect they would not be special.

Thank you all for the thoughts prayers I will pass them on.
BEF hope your first day back is an easy one.
My GMC is a month old and already has a seat belt recall, they can start a fire.
Drew agree that many people over drive using high beams and don't turn them off for on coming traffic. The new truck has automatic high beams, as traffic approaches or when you drive on a well lit road they go off and then will go back on when you drive into a dark area with no on coming traffic or a vehicle in front of you. I found this option by accident, was driving down a dark road and high beams went on. Worse than high beams coming at you are drivers who don't think they need lights at night.

Good evening all. 50F for the start, windy, partly cloudy. Wind peaked at noon then backed off slowly, clouds increased through the afternoon, and high temp was 67F. Chapel to start, after making wife's breakfast, did a DASH route. Wife went shopping after lunch and I went riding. No nap :(.
Drew sorry about your friend prayers for family and safe trip for you.
Buckeye hope cold is better.
Billy, does you splitter know you have been instructed on hard starting issues?
Phil, hope your meds work and BP goes back to normal.
Ron not a good time of year for Sassy to get wet hair
DABSGT sorry to hear about family friend. Alzheimer's is rough on families.
Ted good luck getting roof on.
Jay hope you got away today!!
Kyle, hope your mistake was reworkable and did not scrap anything. Nice your boss stuck up for you.
DABSGT, had a guy run into me one time with no lights. I turn on the main highway near the house and car started spinning  He said he threw a fan belt, and couldn't be late for work.
prayers for all.

Worse than high beams coming at you are drivers who don't think they need lights at night.

I learned about that when my mom's octogenarian boy friend tried to show me how well he drove at night by making a right hand curve wider by going into the oncoming lane. Said it's OK because he'd be able to see the oncoming headlights and pull back into his own lane in time. I silently rolled my eyes, cinched up my seatbelt, and was happy I was hopefully to the right of the impact area.
