RNG, I hope you get a big check in the mail. Really.
PG&E: California power firm to pay $13.5bn to wildfire victims - BBC News
I hope you'll show us a picture of that fire truck running and pumping.
a drone video would be nice...:D
just remember the all important tank to pump valve,
or you'll be sucking air forever.
I would give those handles some extra color so you don't have to think in an
emergency.

I dunno how they arrived at that figure, as the deadline for filing claims against PG&E is December 31. It's almost like they don't care what the losses are, or what happens to the people that aren't compensated. No way to run a railroad, but that's how they got into this mess to begin with.

Here you go, Drew:

29 right now...high in the low 40's today with rain all day.
I have a customer audit today, so I expect it to be a long day...

   / Good morning!!!! #103,283
Thank you all for the thoughts prayers I will pass them on.
BEF hope your first day back is an easy one.
My GMC is a month old and already has a seat belt recall, they can start a fire.
Drew agree that many people over drive using high beams and don't turn them off for on coming traffic. The new truck has automatic high beams, as traffic approaches or when you drive on a well lit road they go off and then will go back on when you drive into a dark area with no on coming traffic or a vehicle in front of you. I found this option by accident, was driving down a dark road and high beams went on. Worse than high beams coming at you are drivers who don't think they need lights at night.

We accidentally discovered this feature on the Ridgeline. Wife found it somewhat annoying. I’m not sure yet. Truth is, we don’t drive alot after dark anymore.

   / Good morning!!!! #103,284
I often override auto high beam control, on both truck and car, because oncoming car is coming around a corner, lights aren't detected yet
by my sensors, but I can sure see the car coming so I dim the lights manually. Our eyes and brain will, for the forseeable future, always be better than
radar, except perhaps at night.

RNG, thanks for video, I couldn't tell, is that a booster line (1 inch) or a regular 1.5 inch line? What psi are you running?
Booster lines are usually on a reel and a lot easier to handle but
won't flow the same amount of water of course. I think it's great you have this capability and sure hope you get a big credit on your homeowners insurance

49 going to 67, part of big wet heat wave from South pushing up. Mid seventies tomorrow.
Rain has stopped, about 1.5 inches overnight.

off to Ram dealer to waste another morning. Charging up my Kindle in preparation.

Ramman, nice to have you aboard. Is your online name because you own a Ram truck?
No, no noodle jokes...;)

y'all have a good day

Good morning. 48 now, supposed to get to 55. And rain all day. Temperature is to start dropping tonight as a cold front come through.

Got to get moving. Have MSHA Part 48 refresher training today. That will be 9+ boring hours. I will try to act alert.

Everyone have a safe and good day!

   / Good morning!!!! #103,286
41 going to 56 and more rain.

We got most of our outdoor chores done yesterday in anticipation of the rain. We also found a Christmas tree to cut that we had overlooked on our first search. It's in the house now...always like to have them with us for one day with no lights or decorations, just enjoy the natural look and shape. Each tree is so different.

Hope everyone gets a great start to the week.

Good morning,

We are right on the dividing line between rain and snow for this Colorado clipper.
Tomorrow is eye Dr. at 8:40 A.M., I have my driver lined up IF he doesn't bail on me due to the weather.

Another energy conservation day after I check out the genny and make sure it is full of fuel and oil.

Have a good day all

We accidentally discovered this feature on the Ridgeline. Wife found it somewhat annoying. I’m not sure yet. Truth is, we don’t drive alot after dark anymore.

The only car I've owned with the automatic feature was my 1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 46° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with rain most of the day. Did closet cleaning yesterday. Need to haul the bags out to trash barrel today. No other plans.

RNG, thanks for the video.

Drew, good luck with dealer.

Rich, 9 hours of classes. Never liked them. Especially when I was the one giving class.

DABSGT, sad news about friend. Prayers for family and friends.

David, I need to check and see if my Captiva has auto dimmer. Took me 2 years to figure out why wiper delay did not work all the time. Car has auto wipers. That only wipes when windshield needs wiping. :confused2:

Good Morning All.

   / Good morning!!!! #103,291
Very chilly today high 44 warmer Tomorrow before turning sharply colder Tuesday night

DABSGT sorry about your friend

Toppop prayers for your upcoming surgery

You might have snow to push in the next two weeks

I saw that long range possibility.

   / Good morning!!!! #103,292
Bird, do you have a picture of yourself with that 55 Cadillac? That must have been seriously
fun to drive. You were the Man.
I started out with the same vintage, a 55 Chevy that used to belong to my grandfather, some strange light green color, 4 door ugliest cheap model,
with a Blue Flame Six and three on the tree. I bet your Caddy was full of chrome switches and all kinds of nifty gizmos for that era.

Ron, thanks, I typed up a full page list of specifics, showing that this is a software or sensor issue.
Buppies, thanks, losing good friends is never easy and it happens to all of us. No avoiding it...

   / Good morning!!!! #103,293
Toppop the snow lovers are going wild personally I think the warm air being chased out by cold does not bode well for them. Thomas will get a lot but will be surprised if we do probably ice to rain events

   / Good morning!!!! #103,297

Around 10pm last evening we counted 8 deer walk by on front lawn,Doe bedded down beside the arbor as her 2 young sons decided have friendly pushing contest 15+ mins. indeed sight to watch  another Doe with her fawn decided two young bucks play long enough put stop to it. even the red fox sat way off to one side until things com down before coming to get it dinner.

   / Good morning!!!! #103,298
Good morning All. A misty gray 43 right now. Supposed to be a rainy day today. Only plans for the day are lunch with some ex coworkers and maybe some online Christmas shopping. Hope that everyone has a good start to the week.

   / Good morning!!!! #103,299
Good Monday Morning. It 68° this morning going to 78° this afternoon. Much needed rain is expected tonight and tomorrow. It's also going to be much colder tomorrow with front coming thru. The high tomorrow is only going to get to 49°.

RNG ... nice videos.

Drew ... good luck ... with your truck.

All those dealing with snow ... be careful out there. I last dealt with snow in the winter of '67 before heading to Texas and the USAF. Boarded an airplane in Omaha on February 15th with 18° and snow blowing sideways. Landed in San Antonio with a balmy 73°. I was "imprinted".

The auto wipers and auto headlight dimming seem to work well on our F-350 KR. Seems like I find a "new feature" every time I drive it.

Hope everyone has a great start to your week.

Prayers to all.

The only car I've owned with the automatic feature was my 1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.

Are we talking about the same feature? The '55 cadillac had the technology to detect on coming headlight and following tail light to turn on and off high beams and it took them 60 years before the "lower class" vehicles got it?

My Ranger has the auto high beam and it has about a 2 second delay from when I would put the lights on high beam. There is one neighborhood that has lights on their mailboxes that fool the headlights into thinking they are approaching cars and it switches to low beam, but the speed limit there is 25mph and the the mailboxes put out a lot of light so no need to over-ride them. Auto high beam works good going around corners with approaching vehicles. It must have a wide angle detector, I have never been flashed using them an they dim at the same time I would dim them.

The auto wipers work good and it has a sensitivity slide bar where the intermittent adjustment knob is. The first time they came on on a sunny day I thought I had an electrical gremlin but then I realized a few drops from a sprinkler in the esplanade set it off.

Good morning! Last Summer day for a while 80˚F today heading to the 20s tomorrow. Need to pick some kale today, the one seed packet is producing too much.
