Good morning!!!!

/ Good morning!!!! #97,241
started a little after 6am, came in before noon, just wore out from heat. Helper still at it.

well, paybacks were made this morning. I jinxed myself by complaining about the ridiculous 13 dollar price for a bushing on
my JD mower deck, which they call an axle. Went to powerwash the mower today, along with a variety of other equipment, and
to my utter dismay saw that one of the four mower guage wheels was now totally missing in action. Wheel, bolt, stupid axle, the works.
Clearly my error in not tightening one of them enough, must have done it hand tight and got distracted, never snugged it. Big Sigh.

So...feeling quite humble I went back to JD parts this morning and was met with smiles and left with fifty bucks of parts. I even got a second "axle" so I
could mike it and see if I could match the dimensions with rod stock. While I was there, admired a nice baby TLB, built on the 1 series SCUT, 20 grand for package.
Looks similar to Massey offering though Massey looks like the equivalent of a 2 series JD, but maybe not. I asked how the backhoe worked and was told
only light duty, little ditches, putting in phone lines, etc. Makes sense.
Spoke with my old Kubota salesman, who now sells JD, about the state of other dealers. Pretty sad, Kubota dealer falling apart, he offered, allegedly, 2M for the whole place
from the owner but was told 4M. Too rich for him, and his backers. I told him I was having the same problem with lack of service/tech knowledge at the Massey dealer as I had with the Kubota, no long term seasoned techs and a Service Manager that seems to be useless. JD all of a sudden becomes the safe choice. All I want is for the dealer to be able to fix what they sell me.

On one issue I contacted Kubota directly and they got hissy with me, telling me
I had to deal with local dealer. Well...if that had worked I wouldn't be calling, would I?...

Came home to find this big orange pad right next to my mailbox, had flown off some truck.
I'm thinking electric company/cable company, expensive rubber with markings about voltage rating.
I'll drive it down to the local electric company and see if they want it. I bet that is one expensive piece of rubber
and I sure have no use for it.

PJ's comments on memory card capacity had me worried, I never checked. Got lucky, unit will handle the 128gig card I bought for it.
Tiny little thing, compare to wheel on mower which isn't that big.

somewhere out in 10 acres that missing hard rubber wheel is lurking. Oh boy is that going to be a huge bang if I hit it before finding it...

called electric company, super nice people, who give wonderful service, so I'm glad to return their property if it is theirs,
versus the cable company installer. They said they would send a truck out promptly to inspect it and thank you very much.
All good.

I may be a pack rat but I do NOT need an electrically insulated mat...might be good in a fire truck though...

Ron, cant decide whether to sell it with the Kioti or paint it white or blue and keep for LS - decisions.

I've got a Sherwin-Williams formula for LS blue if you end up painting it David.

Drew. After seeing your picture. My first thought was that’s a nice fender protector for when you have to be under the hood.

Brother told me of an app called landglide. Shows lot lines and who owns property.

PT OT was good. Got to play with a device that was being demo'd, where you sit on a pad, and by leaning, you play video games.

Missed my morning weather report. Hope all are well. I have taken some side jobs and will be out of the country for a while. My daughter number 3 leaves for the land of oz in 10 days, so we are getting that process ready too. It will be busy and stressful here for a while.

I sincerely hope you all do well, into the future. Health, happiness in your endeavors.

I never did get that bigger tractor. The property can use it, maybe next year.

I'm about 90 miles away. But, I'm not an original Albamian...born Minneapoils, lived Sea Cliff, NY, Boston, MA, Washington DC, Lake Bluff, IL, Los Angeles, CA, Houston TX and now here in Dixieland. Spent time in the US Navy, last duty station CA-148, operating and maintaining MK56 gunfire control RADAR (it was all vacuum tubes).

I think I'll stay put for now (I'm 79). I've started a small orchard on 5 acres that keeps me outta the saloons, am a caregiver for my wife of 50 years, three kids, a bunch of Grandkids and Great Grandkids...Pheeeew!

My used M-F 231S is just right for my needs and I maintain all my own equipment which includes;

RAV4, BMW R1150GS, CAT powered 40 ft. motorhome, B&S Intek V2 powered riding mower and various other pieces of machinery and tractor implements.

Welcome Dennis! Seems you've been around the bush a time or 2.

Good morning, I forgot the grand kids were coming yesterday and now after a day of nothing but play I need to catch up on some weeding before they go and set seed.

BEF and anyone else planning on spending some time indoors today may enjoy watching this. If you don't have an hour to spare, add it to your bucket list ;)

Dennis, I just told Max I've seen a really cute dog called Ginger. He woke up just long enough to do a few seconds of wondering too -does she have a boyfriend ? :)

Our dogs look remarkably similar. Will try to post a pic.

Not sure what to tell you if your FEL pin is hard. You could get some threads thread milled on a CNC for a load of pounds...or quid.

68 high of 89 with storms this afternoon some very strong. Very humid yesterday not nice to be outside at all. Busy day got 412 tons put down yesterday in parking lot

Nice to see some new people here welcome

Prayers for Toppop and BEF and all others

I'm afraid that "kitchen" would be a bit too hot for me. I don't understand how you guys can do that day in and out.

Don, it's been 3.5 weeks now, so the tide should be turning. Feeling better each day, just a little more movement each day..
Took my bath in bed, waiting for 1st PT of today. PT and OT people are great. Nothing like pretty young females taking care of you.

Great news. just keep on getting better. Hope your bible study is fulfilling.

Randy, your turn (thanks for updating Drew). Prayers for our team mates.

Ron, prayers for Betty.

My wife made a wonderful home made pie today. Yesterday, she made home made lemon bars with lemon juice from my friend's tree that we had in the freezer. Yummy.

Max, Ginger meet Willow. She was a rescue dog and has turned out to be a blessing....and a professional beggar. :)

You’ll want to use a primer, designed for plastics.

True. As I’m pretty certain top is HDPE, very difficult to paint with good results. I’m leaning to just reinstalling on the Kioti for next owner.
As for my LS, toying with idea of a 4 legged, FOPS like frame and find appropriate cover. Thinking with the front legs I could add review mirrors. Was complaining to wife last week about pain in my neck. Seems to have disappeared about 2 days after last brushhog session. Suspect I may have determined culprit.

Ok, if you change your mind the Rustoleum Plastic Primer worked well for me in the past.

Willow looks like our Cinnamon (RIP). We have had 8 small breeds. Ginger is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. The others were all Chihuahuas. My first dog (I was a 13 year old kid) Micky was a 140 lb Black Lab. I have scaled down a bit in my later years.

Ginger was a 8 week old pup when we went to pick her out of a box full of babies ten years ago. We pulled up to the house trailer where the breeder lived...the front door was full of bullet holes, the guy was in a cast (gunshot wound), the girl appeared to be high. My wife and I looked at each other. Ginger made her selection of her new owners and we departed quickly. Four days later we found Ginger was Parvo positive. The vet gave us a 50/50 chance. One of the vet techs took ginger home and medicated her during the night for 5 days. Le Ann (the vet tech) is a friend to this day and loves it when I bring Ginger in for exams and dental cleanings.

Kyle, I have been through your fine town several times on my BMW enroute to the ROT motorcycle rally in Austin. A favorite spot is the Oasis overlooking Lake Travis.

Best to all.

Not a huge college football fan, probable because I went to an engineering college in Missouri.

Sounds like you got Ginger out of a bad place. She's fortunate to have been cared for. I'm betting the rest of the pups didn't fare as well.

Lots and lots of bikers go to the ROT rally. I haven't been since the late '80's early '90's.
