Good morning!!!!

Good morning everyone. Headed to airport for Albany today and back Friday. Pure luck put me on the same return flight as that grandaughter coming in. They don't know yet I don't think I'm gonna tell. That's if I get on. Deltas computers crashed and the ripples are still in effect I hear. We'll see.

See a Nissan N-150 mini ex for sale on the local craigslist I'd like to kick the tires on when I get back. With all the stumps and footings I have in the future I've almost convinced my self it's a Need instead of a Want. So I've started researching them. It's gotta be used. I don't have enough work or time home to justify a new one for sure.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning! Weather Underground has kicked my station of its network due to the cranky thermometer, but near as I can figure it's about 67F outside. Abundant sunshine. High around 95F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Ron, the van has been quite a bit of work, far more than I'd anticipated. No regrets so far, but I am starting to look forward to a time when everything isn't centered around getting something done on the van. I did manage to finish final sanding on the exterior, and also got the last door masked in preparation for priming today. Also got the dash sanded, and tried Bondo on the holes in the padded section, which seems to be working. Also got the front grills bead blasted, again in prep for primer this morning. Once that's done it'll be time to roll the van back into the garage and start putting together the temporary spray booth just outside the roll up door. I don't have all the details planned out for it, so I'll just have to take it a step at a time.

Happy Hump Day everyone!

I had a Vue also was not happy with it only lasted about 2 years but the Vantage Pro I have had for 9 years now sent it in for a refurb and only cost $125.00 to totally redo it! Much cheaper than buying a new unit after 9 years!

I had a Weather Direct unit that quit a few months ago, after 16 years of working near perfectly. Of course they don't make it anymore, so I'm still shopping.

A six day heat wave starting today, highs are not super awful. low to mid 90's, but the lows are going to be near 80°, that doesn't give you much of a break.

Took the deck off my new to me 3208, that 54" deck weighs about 270 lbs, wow that thing is heavy! It ain't no stamped Sears deck! Got to replace all the bearings and get it ready for back up use.

76 this morning and headed to 88 today. A few showers around.

I need a clone. Haven't been able to work since baby came home. But I did get the bathroom sink going yesterday. Have lots of work stacking up. But I'm stuck running errands. It'll be nice when the wife can drive again.

Don thanks for the link. I'll have to look into mine. I'm getting readings into the 110's and heat indexes into the 140's. That I know ain't right.

Ron interesting read on the olive farmer.

82.8F and fairly cloudy ... got 0.25" and 0.42" of rain at the two nearest reporting stations, big downpour over at the center ... looks like we got a decent amount here at the house ... hopefully get some more tonight. Heavy storms supposedly on tap for tomorrow.

Knocked off a little early since we weren't going to be able to get the rest of the FRP done and get the cabinets hung today anyways. We do have three of the walls done, only thing left in the kitchen on the FRP is the backsplash over the counter. Then a small strip in the utility closet.

Turned on the AC in the shop on the way in, head up there after I get a shower and do a little more cleaning.

Got another delivery of wood chips and logs the other morning ... these were big enough that they brought them on the truck with the crane ... looks to be oak. I may be set for the next two winters ... assuming I don't kill myself unstacking them ...

Found a Everlast 256 S Tig, Stick, Plasma cutter on Craigs list this morning. They said they had used it about 6 hr and it looked like it was true. Has an air cooled torch and a water cooled torch with a cooler, electrode holder, regulator, foot peddle, plasma torch and a fancy ground clamp that looks like vice grip C clamps. He threw in a bunch of little things and I brought it home for $1750. That is what the machine costs without the water torch and cooler. Don't need it but it will be fun.

Hope you find a fun project with your new toy/ ahummm, tool I mean.

I second the Davis station that is what I run on my weather site.. he is a little better price.
Davis Instruments Best Price Quote | RainmanWeather I also have the Vantage Pro2

Can you send us some cooler weather please? Pretty Please?

A shipment of sound deadening sheet arrived last week, and I wanted to get some into the under dash area before it went back to the mechanic for the A/C installation. That meant removing the old blower housing, which he said was just a matter of pulling four screws. But with four screws removed it was still in there tight as a tic, so I started prying and jerking on it until I found a fifth screw hidden deep in the shadows. And a bunch of cables and wires that needed disentangled and clipped. That got it loose, but I wasn't prepared for what was revealed (see photo from yesterday). Only gagged a couple of times sopping up the mouse mud with paper towels and bleach water, and that was while wearing a respirator. I've got a funny stomach that way I guess. So with that out of the way and hopefully dry today, I'll stick on the deadener and be done with that job.

RNG, that sound deadening stuff works great. Some brands and thicknesses are ridiculously high priced though. Me no likey mouse poo. Hantavirus anxieties.

Took the deck off my new to me 3208, that 54" deck weighs about 270 lbs, wow that thing is heavy! It ain't no stamped Sears deck! Got to replace all the bearings and get it ready for back up use.

Sounds like a great "back up" mower, but I'd bet you'd prefer driving it forward. :)

How many hours on it?

Good evening all. 81F this morning, partly cloudy again, more wind than we had been having early in the morning. Made it to 102F today, tomorrow and Friday supposed to be 1 or 2F warmer. Then a cold front with rain comes through highs after frontal passage may not break 90F!! Got bike ride, worked on billing receipts and some consulting.

The digital thermometer is on outside of workshop, in the shade. We had no breeze and working outside felt like being inside an oven.

Rick, I sent you a pm. Don't know if your alert is working or not, but I've been having trouble with mine...

Have you adjusted to this heat yet after your vacation?
