Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A wild windy night last night. Our cold wood stove was whistling and the slimline mini-split heads were humming with some of the wind gusts. This morning I discovered more of the roofing on our outbuilding had blown off and some of my carefully stacked wood (~ a rick's worth) had succumbed to the laws of gravity and entropy. This is the first time other than a 驛スlight FEL tap years ago :embarrassed: that I had stacked wood unstack itself = a change in today's plans. A mixed cloud/sunny 34コF was today's low; 40コF with increasing sunshine presently; and a sunny low 50コF's anticipated this PM.

The poem needs some editing; it's very faded.

Kyle- My continuing + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your daughter and the ABA program.

David- Good luck with the propane challenge.

Drew- Thanks for the headphone link.

Buppies- Good luck with the future DIL and the cats. Swinging one around would not make for a very good impression.;)

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Good morning all,

42 and raining, good thing is most of the snow is gone. Supposed to warm up and be sunny tomorrow.

David, could you move the propane tank to the other side of the concrete and avoid any cutting? If this can't be done I'm sure you are thinking to put the new line in a conduit.:)

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

55°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 80° today. Carbon copy for tomorrow.

Definitely a bummer watching the Notre Dame fire unfold yesterday. I imagine that 800-year-old lumber burned pretty hot. Hope they got most of the important stuff out, but there is surely some history lost there. Saw a telling photo last night, taken from a Paris Police drone. Definitely looks hot in there.

"The Lure"

“WHAT bait do you use,' said a Saint to the Devil,
When you fish where the souls of men abound?'
'Well, for special tastes,' said the King of Evil,
'Gold and Fame are the best I've found.'
'But for common use?' asked the Saint. 'Ah, then,'
Said the Demon, 'I angle for Man, not men,
And a thing I hate
Is to change my bait,
So I fish with a woman the whole year round.'

When I was pretty young I got a drum for Christmas. I must've beat that thing incessantly, because every once in a while it would disappear. Then I'd "find" it, and I'd start beating it again, and it would disappear again. Then one time I found it much more entertaining to punch holes in the drum head with the drumsticks, but it didn't beat too well after that. I think my parents were quite relieved. I can't imagine giving a kid an electronic drum kit these days without also locking him/her in a soundproof room...

I wanted to be a drummer when I was a wee little tike. I let a grade school music teacher talk me into trumpet instead. I have a large (8-piece; kick, snare, and 6 toms) acoustic Tama kit and an electronic Alesis kit with an identical layout. With electronic drums, at least there is a volume knob you can turn down, or you can wear headphones. Acoustic kits are always just loud.

The new stuff is a virtual instrument that only plays as loud as the volume settings in the program and at the speaker outputs. I admit, it did get kinda loud Sunday evening.

Good Morning. It was 59°F this morning and partly cloudy. Forecast says 79°F this afternoon and should stay partly cloudy all day.

May be a good day to wash some of the windows on outside. Not my favorite job but ...... still preferred over cleaning the insides of windows.

I've a nice set of the old Bose QC 15 noise cancelling headphones, that I carried on all my overseas trips before retiring. They had nearly 2M miles on them. Always used Duracell batteries in them but, last time I was in S. Korea the battery died about an hour before landing and I had no spares with me. I ended up with a non-Duracell battery (from guess where) and told myself ..... I needed to replace when I returned home. Forgot all about until a few months ago when I decided that, since I rarely used them after retirement, I would try them out when running the ZT instead of the Work Tunes headphones I normally used. Turned them on and no sound. Opened the battery chamber and it was full of corrosion. It was so bad it had eaten the tiny wire that connected to the battery chamber cap. RIP Bose friend.

Hope everyone has a great "hump day eve" day.

Prayers to all.

65°F and .17 inches rain.
Primary goal is to evaluate propane options with fresh eyes before actually doing anything. As I don’t want to tear up the driveway before end of the month anyway, I can take the time and plan.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I feel your pain, Rick. I have an old Sony over-the-head in-ear headphone that is the best sounding in-ear I've ever heard, every bit as good as any of the high-end studio headphones I've used. It came with an old Walkman, and pre-dates the individual earbuds, which I don't care for. I haven't seen a set like this in over a decade. If/when they die, I'll be seriously bummed.

Another day of altered plans. With Easter coming up wife felt we needed to get some shopping done. Shopping is done. But lawn mower is still waiting to be made ready for first spring cut.
