The 'check engine' light came on
never a good thing, an annoyance at best...or the red light of doom.
hope it's simple to fix.

Ron, this was the headphone I bought. Thought about buying "next one up" but glad I didn't because this works ok, not so expensive if I wreck it I'm going to be most unhappy (like a $300+ Bose) and I wanted to prove out the design. Before that I bought a pair of high tech earplugs, cute little white things with tiny handles for insertion. Put them in and everything immediately got worse. Nope. So that style didn't help with my tinnitus at all. So before I bought another dud, I tried to get a high value one. I like that it charges by USB cable, as I have an adapter in the 12V outlet in the tractor.
Would like one more ruggedized for outdoors work but this one seemed to get decent reviews. Appears there is one Chinese maker and about ten clones of it floating around, per usual.
Highest use will be mowing, which so far is a real problem, because my favorite hat won't stay on my head, particularly
on these windy days. And I absolutely have to wear a hat. That could be a big challenge for today. I wonder if I can wear the headphones on top of the hat, like I do with regular muffs at times, would the electronics work. Worth a try.
Today I change the oil in the old girl, the 1956 Farmall Super A. Looked a little black even though it had maybe 15 hours on it. Not even going to change the oil filter, just the oil. And switching to 40W from 30W for summer heat.
That oil gauge drops and drops and drops when hot, only to a smidge off the bottom.
Now this is a very slow moving engine, maybe 1500 rpm tops, so maybe no worries but low
oil pressure worries me. Plus no water temp gauge, so I'm flying blind. They always seemed more interested in giving you an amp/voltage meter so you could check your battery, useless info usually, starts or doesn't...charges back up or doesn't.
Wish they'd given out water temp gauges instead. Likely the amp meter was simpler and cheaper and wouldn't leak.
And maybe I'll try to tighten some pan gaskets that are leaking. Most of them are the "don't overtighten" kind that
give me the willies working on.
