RNG, I guess it's time to get out our hummingbird feeder and see if they're around yet? Are you seeing any yet.

Had a couple of pairs that wintered over this year, and now there must be eight or ten. Almost time to put the other two feeders out, bringing the total to four.

Spent most of the rest of the day puttering around in the studio. Got the new USB interface up and running, and all audio routed through it to the new monitors. Also took advantage of an anniversary sale at one of the software companies (ToonTrack) and downloaded a drum program extension pack, normally $89 for just $29 this weekend. Got three more drum kits and a bunch of snare drums. Big package, took about an hour to download and install. Ended up playing with that until about 9:30 pm.

When I was pretty young I got a drum for Christmas. I must've beat that thing incessantly, because every once in a while it would disappear. Then I'd "find" it, and I'd start beating it again, and it would disappear again. Then one time I found it much more entertaining to punch holes in the drum head with the drumsticks, but it didn't beat too well after that. I think my parents were quite relieved. I can't imagine giving a kid an electronic drum kit these days without also locking him/her in a soundproof room...

Colonel John Bryant and his one eyed wife Eliza seemed happy to share their home with us. Their house was adorned by old paintings. (including 1 eyed Eliza) and Spanish American War relics on all the walls. A spiral entrance stairway entrance where someone could really do a good job hanging themselves. And a grandfather clock w/o chimes (70 miles away) that chimed one night :eek: during a winter T-Storm blizzard. I never believed in this stuff until I lived it. Cold spots (easy in an unheated old farmhouse), but significantly colder spots. Our overnight guests always heard footsteps going up the backstairs to the bedroom. They always went up; never down.... A consistent report. He loved fly fishing. He was there:eek: when I tied flies sometimes. I inherited his his old bamboo flyrod and a couple of his flies still looking functional and his book on Fly Fishing. I will try to copy it's preface. Ouija boards were forbidden by me after an  episode. And honestly I got chased out of the attic. I do not scare easily.

Very entertaining ghost story, Jay. Glad you survived to tell the tale!

35 right now...high in the upper 40's today.
Boy, a lot of rain and flooding yesterday! I went through one area that, if it had been light (this was about 0430-0445), I probably wouldn't have driven through. The field out back is, of course, almost completely underwater.

Not a great day ☹️
Another ( the second) propane line developed a leak. This is main feed (high pressure) line from the 250 gal tank to main part of house, feeding 8 appliances.had already replaced other main line a couple years ago when it developed problems. This is ceramic coated pipe made for propane. Plumber says it has been nothing but problems since county mandated its use. This line will be replaced with poly as was last one. Challenge is this one goes under about 40 feet of concrete. Will have to cut concrete and trench. Low pressure line it connected to passed pressure test and is mostly encased in concrete. Replacing any of that will be a real problem.
Currently set up using a couple of 40lb bottles while we work out the details. What I didn’t know was my plumber had just recently got back in the business and is the only employee, so I suspect I will be actively involved. Of course my tank which was just filled on 2/28 is near empty.

Sure hope that isn't any new concrete you have to cut David, 40 feet will be a lot of sawing. Sorry it broke.

Mostly, thanks for reminder about Ed, I think nothing heard yet.
I hope he is doing well with family and his new lathe.

Much chillier 42 this morning going up to 71, should be a nice day. My close friend in DE said an EF-2 went right by his house yesterday tearing up things, with only a last minute warning on their cell phones.
Toppop, did you get storms also?

House is a little cold, still set on a/c...kinda hope not to turn heat back on.
Coffee just dinged, now that takes priority.

Today will include washing my car and more lawn mowing. Normal stuff, nothing exciting.
And I will try to remember to put the humming bird feeder out.

Hope you all have a lovely day.
