Drew-

The image I posted was meant to amuse not offend. Winter is over.

I apologize if I triggered 澱ad stuff with you or anyone else. For that I truly apologize.

This does bother me. My adult life has been focused on doing 渡o further harm to anything or anybody; but I learned that earlier in life.

Based on my professional experiences if one feels the need for whatever 途eason(s) to perpetrate an act of aggression, they use based on opportunity or need the most available weapon, the weapon of choice, or (worse) the weapon of 吐antasy. There are many reasons for violent behavior; childhood trauma is definitely a big factor; so is survival in an abusive life situation(s). I have seen far too many 渡uances of 殿berrant behaviors misdirected, maybe some experienced personally.

The school counselors called my parents for my being more on the receiving end of - things than the giving end when it came to - stuff. I got a little older and tougher and I was less on the receiving end. It's the challenges in life the makes us who we are.

My +30 years of raising stray, feral, abused and abandoned rescue dogs is more a reflection of who and what I am and always was. That will never change. Saint Bernard's seem to "fit"

Overheard one of the barbers telling an old story today.

He moved to our small town as a young teenager, right off the farm, and entered high school. Sure enough, the local bully started picking on him right away. He told the bully "Let's take it behind the gas station off campus after school." Walking to the gas station, he had on some really cheap worn out rubber converse shoes. He asked his one friend walking with him, "Can I borrow your shoes?" noticing that he has some tough hard soled shoes and his buddy traded with him. Well, being straight off the farm, and more afraid of how his older brothers would treat him if he lost a fight, he ended up kicking the $heet out of the bully and gave the shoes back to his buddy.

Got the chicken coop wood work pretty much finished. Caulked a bit, then "painted it red", well, most of it. Will have to paint the rest white tomorrow after church. The little chicks are getting so big, they are jumping up on the 12" high rim of the tub they are in and threatening to break out. They are roughly the size of a quail already. This chicken coop building is wearing me out. Might have to steal one of the chick's Bud Light Lime beers. :)

We got some great rains this afternoon while we were painting in the barn. 1.68" officially but seemed like more on top of me. Even though it came at a steady pace, we had quite a bit of runoff.

jbrumberg, no offense taken here. I appreciate what you guys are doing with the dogs. Hope your spring comes soon enough.

Roy, I would LOVE to have one of those. That looks like the exact model I was holding last week. They were asking $445 IIRC. This at a small gun shop.

MotoGP American race in Austin tomorrow. Crappy organization only broadcasts it on some obscure channel that most people don't get, so if you want to watch it, you usually have to pay per view or raise your channel package to the highest level.

ATRORM, Next weekend on Saturday night the American Flat Track races are meeting at the Nascar track above Fort Worth. They will be riding on a 1/2 mile dirt oval that is located outside the main track. I'm planning on attending with a buddy. The sport has new life in it, with Indian and Harley back at it along with the other manufacturers. There is decent prize money and they have the large twins class, and a smaller singles class with the engines being about 60 hp 450cc. The singles are really fast too. The 1/2 mile track is big enough to have drafting down the straights which makes things really exciting.

I hope all of you have a blessed evening.

Good evening all. 54F for the start, mostly overcast with a few peaks of sunshine, breezy. Low for the day was 52F during the first line of weather, which included pea sized hail. One more line of weather came through, just light rain and 1 more on radar. 1.1 inch rain the the gauge, high for the day was 57F and wind was up and down as the weather moved through. Bike ride first thing this morning, only 31 miles as cold rain is not any fun to ride in. 2 hour nap today, worked on some online shopping chores like bill payments and license renewal.

Jay wife and I both laughed at your snowman, we are ready for more late spring like weather here, and remember what St Louis was like during the winter ie ready for 70's when April arrives!

Prayers for all

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Awoke to a stereo blasting from the garage a few minutes ago; I think the place is haunted:eek: Didn't phase any of the house guests at all; it sounds like a lumber mill out in the great room!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend...

We always woke up with Steppenwolf's "Get your motors going, Heading out the highway"!

Currently 52. High was 72 today.

Spent yesterday afternoon and today spreading fertilizer and seed on pasture land. Managed to get stuck 5 times and had to have wife come pull me out twice. It was a little wet. Wanted to drag it down but had to go get boys from granny’s.
Wife was trying to do homework. 3 hours and 2 assignments complete. She had 6 due tomorrow. Just finished helping her take a quiz. Made an 80 and I never opened the book, just read the questions and answers. Total time about 15 minutes. She admitted it was good enough she wouldn’t retake it. Tried to explain how to take multiple choice test. She doesn’t get it. Wants help on the others though.

Nice way to end winter with that snow man picture.

I was raised to be a finisher. I had best make sure I was right before a fight, and I had best not start it. But as long as I defended myself and I followed those two rules there would be no punishment. Dad’s words, and he’d do the batting after the fight. I was in several fights. Never did see a punishment at school or Home. Dad made a few trips to school though. I was also warned that I didn’t want to see the punishment for not standing up for myself, and I never did.

That is the way I was raised, too.
I did get punished at school, but I think it was more of a 'token' punishment.
Any time I did get the strap at school, I never told the 'rents about it.
