Thanks for the feedback on paperless billing. Most bills are paid with credit cards these days, the rest with direct bank e-payments. The bank would really like me to go paperless, but I found out the hard way that monthly e-statements are only available for 18 months online, then they want a fee to send you a paper copy. Same with credit cards, so until that changes, I'll still opt for paper monthly statements, and still keep filling up filing cabinet drawers.

Speaking of which, how long do you guys keep receipts and old credit card/bank statements? It's burning season again, and time to reclaim some space.
!

We keep bills and documents for 5 years. Except for house and cars. They are until we get rid of them.
I check our 2 credit unions. One keeps statements for 4 years online. The other one has statements back to 2006 online.
I keep email statements for each credit card in a separate file for each one. The files are shared with 4 different iPads and computers in case one dies. Each device has it's own password access.

I thought the IRS only requires 3 years. We only keep utility bills one month - until the the next month bill comes and shows that last month bill was paid. All other bills one year.

50°F and some light rain early this morning, clearing and going up to 57° today.

Hope things get better today, BEF.

Don, try rewarding Whipper at each stage; treat for coming when called, treat for sitting when asked, and treat for when the collar is put on or taken off. You can eventually change over the treats to affection.

Picked up a new BBQ grill cover last night. The old one has definitely seen better days. Also picked up one of those photo-electric adapters for the outside light by the driveway, to turn it into a dusk-to-dawn light. We'll see how well that works.

The boy is back to the sneaky stuff again, sneaking out windows in the middle of the night. He figured out he can open the top half of the basement porch windows and climb out without setting off the alarm sensors on the bottom half. He's almost 19, and can come and go as he pleases, so it's completely unnecessary. He only does it so his Mother doesn't know that he's out all night. The bad part is that he's leaving an unsecured entry point when he does it, which pretty much negates the security system we're paying for. So, she found some key lock window latches on Amazon and ordered one for each window. Going to mount them to the top half only, so we can still open the bottom windows without a key. Shaking my head at some of the things this kid thinks is OK.

It's 19* this morning, yesterday's high was 45* with a cold wind. Going back into the 40's with sunny skies and more wind for today.

Hoping everything goes well for Buckeyefarmer and Kyle.

Making the weekly trip to town and work on the ***** stock is all I have planned for today.

Eric. It's the gun I grab when I go out running around in the woods. Not sure I can wait that long. LOL.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

We do almost the same, except we just use one credit union where we've been members more than 50 years. I wrote one check in 2016, one in 2015, and one in 2014; none this year. Everything else is with credit card, online, or auto pay. Got rid of all but 3 credit cards, and we only use 2 of those. The other one is a debit card that was used one time only to buy something just to see if it worked. And we only keep it because we can use it to get cash, if needed, from ATM machines without paying any fee.

67°F and another 2.3 inches rain. 1.78 of it since midnight with no let up in site.

Sounds like you’re gonna enjoy your Super A for a bit. So are you going to lend it to the neighbor in exchange for his field mired model? That ought to be a project

Glad to hear our valuable members are on the mend.

No tolerance for abuse. I am concerned that accusations may be becoming a form of abuse itself.
Public accusation = automatic guilt, less than 1000% support of unnamed accusations earn word twisting castigation.

Sure would like to see some sun, as would my solar panels.

Be safe
Have a great day.
