Good morning all. 61 going to 76 today. Have rain headed this way this morning. Then only 20% chance this afternoon. Had fun yesterday. Our friend James Easter of The Easter Brothers, gospel blue grass, been going on the road for over 60 years. Came over and "picked one or two for us. Wife's nephews came over and played and sang with him. They play gospel bluegrass as well but are only 18 and 20 years old and were in awe of being able to play with him. James loved it and stayed until about 1:30 so we had a long singing - talking, eating time. Most fun I have had in a while, Long while.

They then helped me load some of the shop and the youngest went with me to the blacksmith guild and one of the guys helped him make a hook. I think he is "hooked". :D

Going to load some more of the shop today and put it in storage. The joy of having to many toys. Ed

. . . He took off after it thinking it would play dead. It turned around and showed it teeth and growled . . . .

They are good at playing dead but when they want to act mean they are pretty good at that too. Here's mine behind the garage.

Ed, are your plans to eventually get the shop stuff out of storage or is that your new tool shed. It must be tough to downsize for the move to the city.

57 this morning and headed to 75 today with sun. Should start the drying process.

Take dog to the vet this afternoon for annual shots. A couple more errands today and then maybe home in time to go grade a neighbors driveway. Or at least attempt it. Pot holes over 10" deep. His renters are having a hard time getting home.

Drew. If you have the option have them put in a Plug Patch. It's all one piece and tire has to be broken down to put it in. I don't worry about towing with a patched tire but I always know where that tire is and keep an eye on it. Also when you replace the tires go with 10ply. They're about an extra $100/set but the number of flats is greatly reduced. I can't keep passenger tires up here with the gravel and rough roads. http://www.walmart.com/ip/49664781?...88519418&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=91847168978&veh=sem

Well I am back, bet you did not even know I was gone.... Anyway my LapTop blew the hard drive and everything I had with it so I went back to a new desk top. Got a Lenovo system from BestBuy. It is nice to have a 21" screen for these old eyes. I need to catch up but got lots of computer work to do finding all my needed links. :mur:

Hopefully today's patches are reliable. Do I really want a patched tire on my rear wheels when towing??? Probably fine but makes one wonder.

Depends on how they fixed it, Drew. If they applied the kind of patch that goes on the inside of the tire and has a stem that extends up through the puncture, it'll last the life of the tread. If they just stuck a plug in it from the outside, I wouldn't trust it, even on the back wheels let alone the front. That kind can let air infiltrate between the tread plies resulting in delamination and rapid deflation. Not something you want happening, especially if they rotate your tires and it's mounted on the front at the time. :2cents:
