58 degrees in fog going to high eighties today, low nineties tomorrow.
Have about a third of the fields left to mow, will get on it today with a helper.
with the new larger mower I can run both tractors, assuming I have a willing friend, which
thank goodness I do. So both of us will be out there today, me in the a/c...and maybe we can get creative
and do matching crop circles, or something....
I flushed out a small fawn yesterday that was sleeping by itself in the middle of the field. No momma anywhere. Glad she heard the tractor and scampered away. Never hit a deer with a mower, I try to avoid everything including turtles, rabbits, etc. The poor turtles just can't move fast enough. At least I'll be mowing fairly high and hopefully will miss them.
Mowing in an a/c cab with a HEPA filter cleaning up the field dust is simply amazing compared to the open tractor. No more sneezing, swatting at bugs and grasshoppers, and getting filthy. Now if the Kubota cupholder wouldn't spill my coffee everywhere, I'd be fully satisfied.
And I'm finding with the FEL on front and the thousand pound mower on the back, the ride of the tractor has improved also.
