.....my cousin got pulled over got a $86 ticket for not having a front tag on the vehicle.....

We have the same law in Texas and I'm amazed how many disregard it so they don't mess up the front bumper looks. Just an invitation to be pulled over.....

I've actually known officers who thought such citations were too "nit picky", but I also know there are people who have 2 old cars, only register one, and put one of the license plates on the back of each car. I also knew a police officer many, many years ago in another city who got fired for doing that very thing himself.

Good morning all. I see you all have been very chatty since my departure for Kansas . 69F going to 85F and plenty of liquid sunshine. Great ride in the Flint Hills. There were even porta-potties at the SAG (food/water) stops. Wind forecast was wrong!! Last leg was straight into the wind which was running 20+ mph gusts to 30. Had to pedal downhill . Sunday was an out and back route so tailwinds coming home and biked trice as fast. Monday cut short by thundestorms, I packed it in (34 miles) when a large bolt hit the ground just a few miles away. Total miles for weekend 152.

A big group, training, equipment and sag wagons are what make biking fun. Are you just a little sore today?

Biking around here is called 70-7. 70mph vehicles and a 7" shoulder.

My triathlon racing bike is still hanging next to my tractor.

David Glad to hear you had a good day with your little girl and yes she is very cute. And by the big smile on her face it looks like she was enjoying the time as much as you were. I hope you have many many many more days like that they grow up so fast if you blink they grow while doing so and remember no matter what happens with the rest of your situation she will always be your blood and like I always say blood is thicker than water

Farmgirl I think it may be kinda what part of the country your in my family in the the Midwest call all there kids there babies.me being the youngest my mother called me her baby until her passing a cpl yrs ago my daughter is 27 and she will always be my baby

My wife and I have done it several times. You don't have to be registered to do it.

My DIL rode it twice, talked my son into going with her the second time. That was summer before last during a heat wave. They had fun but it was hot day and night.

The DIL has become a cycling dynamo. This year she is riding up seven hills in New England, each one is more difficult than the previous one. The series ends with climbing Mt. Washington. She already did the bike leg of a team triathlon in San Francisco this spring. Makes me tired just thinking about it. :laughing:

Yep. It's a huge ride. Never have done it, but have wanted to. Have done the Bicycle Tour of Colorado several times. Same concept-point to point ride. Less partying-more hurting. Mountain passes are a leg killer, especially for a flat lander.

Sounds like my daughter. She missed KONA triathlon in Hawaii by one place.
