Good morning!!!!

Drinking coffee from a new cup. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with thunderstorms in spots. Got enough rain yesterday. Need to clean up the yard where wind blew some branches down.
All this talk about bike riding and canoeing has already made me tired.
Good Morning All.

46*F, cloudy and 70% chance of rain today and tonight. It looks like rain is moving in now.

Good day to get a haircut and run some other errands.

Be safe, to all of you in the Midwest. Looks like more angry weather.

58 degrees in fog going to high eighties today, low nineties tomorrow.
Have about a third of the fields left to mow, will get on it today with a helper.
with the new larger mower I can run both tractors, assuming I have a willing friend, which
thank goodness I do. So both of us will be out there today, me in the a/c...and maybe we can get creative
and do matching crop circles, or something....

I flushed out a small fawn yesterday that was sleeping by itself in the middle of the field. No momma anywhere. Glad she heard the tractor and scampered away. Never hit a deer with a mower, I try to avoid everything including turtles, rabbits, etc. The poor turtles just can't move fast enough. At least I'll be mowing fairly high and hopefully will miss them.

Mowing in an a/c cab with a HEPA filter cleaning up the field dust is simply amazing compared to the open tractor. No more sneezing, swatting at bugs and grasshoppers, and getting filthy. Now if the Kubota cupholder wouldn't spill my coffee everywhere, I'd be fully satisfied.
And I'm finding with the FEL on front and the thousand pound mower on the back, the ride of the tractor has improved also.

54 degrees heading up to the 70 mark with 80% chance of rain. Sure makes things green!

Good morning! Weather forecast same as FG19 +5˚ (she's up north). I agree with you daugen when it come to mowing. AC filtered Cab. - next tractor - The main weed that I mow out here is dove weed and if you are anywhere around when it's being cut you itch all over. AUGGG. No wonder my Rhino only has 10 hours use in 10 years, not a pleasant job. By the end of February it all looks the same anyways.....time is on my side. Dirt, roads, and brush, now thats enjoyment.

daugen; If I lived closer, I'd offer to climb on the open cab and help mow. Luckily, I don't have allergies, and dirt looks good on me!

Since I am not near, I'll keep mowing in my pastures.

Mowing in an a/c cab with a HEPA filter...

Mowing 1.5 acres doesn't justify my owning a tractor with an a/c cab with a HEPA filter, but I don't sneeze and breath in dust and pollen either, my wife just brings me home the little respirator masks she uses in the chem lab. Available at any store for $5-$6 for 2.;)

70 real early, 90's later and for a few days.

Well, I think it would be truly fun to watch you and my friend Bill arguing over who was going to drive the Case IH. :dance1:
I think I have only a half day in me anyway, the fact that I'm mowing with a hard collar on reflects how my neck feels at the moment.
Slow, easy, cool, and as comfortable as possible. But after three hours of spinning even a power steering wheel, I'm done.
then someone else can drive in the a/c cab. Now if you showed up with a sour cherry pie, I might let you drive...

something tells me my wife would take a dim view of this...:D

I've actually known officers who thought such citations were too "nit picky", but I also know there are people who have 2 old cars, only register one, and put one of the license plates on the back of each car. I also knew a police officer many, many years ago in another city who got fired for doing that very thing himself.

Bird, I got stopped one day several years ago in Sulphur Springs, TX by a state trooper for not having a front tag. I had a Datsun 240Z and tried to keep a tag on the front, but people kept backing into me (bumping in parking lots and such) so that my front tag was ripped at one of the mounting holes and all bent and ugly. When he stopped me, I pulled the crumpled tag out from under the seat and showed it to him. I said I just could not bear to make my beautiful sports car look bad with that tag. He laughed and said he agreed, but the law is the law and I could and should get it replaced. He didn't even give me a warning and told me he sure liked my car.:) I kept that car for another year until I got broadsided by a drunk and decided I needed something bigger and traded it. I still had the crumpled tag under the seat, but didn't go through Sulphur Springs anymore.:D

It's a cloudy and humid morning here with intermittent gusty wind and 72 F. I've got to repair a trail today and maybe put my tiller on to do a job for a neighbor. I'll also probably water a few things in my garden, but it may be too windy to get much lawn watering done. I put stakes in around my squash plants yesterday to keep the wind from breaking them off. Young and tender squash will snap off at the ground really easily in the wind. One year I lost three of my nicest plants to wind.

75* going to 86*. Not bad, except instead of a breeze, we have a downright gale, and no chance of rain with it.

Windy and warm like that in Ohio today. Hard to even be outside with the gale winds and it beats the tar out of the plants and trees on the flat ground.

Good morning all. 72F going to 86F and sunny (no rain). Ride this morning, mow this afternoon.

For shear leg killing there is nothing like the triple by pass in CO. 240m in 2 days in the mountains. No desire to do RAGBRI yet, doing BAK and Katy this year.

Cloudy with showers, high of 15C/59F.
Going to take the forms off the pony walls and start framing the walls. At 1pm we have the concrete coming for the slab and the 2 pads for the front and back door. Then last thing this afternoon will be to go buy the ranch panel.

Spoken like a true "Southern Boy"!

And why would a wife worry about a grease and dirt covered, ole farmgirl? :)
