Drew how about some shots of the interior

headed there now, rounding up cleaning material, vacuum. need to look at engine compartment and see if just wiping things off will do.
I hate to use a hose in there, but at least with a diesel I think it's a little more water tolerant, on the outside that is.

owner of rv agency is allegedly going to be calling shortly. He is also the service manager.
hopefully he will make this easy. I'd like some easy.

72°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 92° today. It already felt warm and muggy just taking the trash down to the road at 6am.

Congrats on getting the new RV home, Drew. Looks nice from the outside. It is indeed a shame that you pay that much money for a brand new vehicle and it's handed over to you in less-than-perfect condition.

10,000 Post, just around the corner !

Today I finally get a Patio Cover, thought about building one out of wood but thought twice, it will be a lot of work.
After a year of thinking I finally accepted the fact that the patio cover will not be made out of wood and will not be to my original design... !
I will end up with an Alumiwood flat cover, but I am only going to be looking at the ceiling when I am under it !
Should work out well, and should only take one day to install, maybe two; so by the weekend I will have a second place to sit outside.

Cover is 32' W x 17.5' deep, having overhangs on three sides and attached to the house on the four side, with a 1/4inch per foot drop over the 17.5 feet. Built in gutter and down spouts, never will need painting... guessing that one should help me out as I get older.

The Owner and one of the builders, wants me around, just in case something comes up and needs a quick decision. Only thing I am worried about is the electrics but the Owner has said he can leave the wiring at any point I want so I can run the PVC underground and do the hook up afterwards. Seems reasonable to me and I have the trench dug, thank you Mahindra Max28, just not sure where the actual end post will be so I can match the PVC run to match.

Friday I should be sitting under the Cover, out of the sun, And the Wife went out and purchased a new Patio Set.

Next will be building the Fireplace, thinking 36" Gas Unit, with a Metal framed, cement board skin; anyone done this before ?

Thanks for listening. high 70's today so the work should go fast.

77 headed to 88 today, dry except for the heavy fall dew. Went to breakfast with 5 friends, probably overdid the bacon, eggs and BS, but we have a good time.
Watching my atomic clock reset itself, never saw that before, hands are spinning around pretty fast.
BEF, LS, Ron and all you folks, continued healing.

RNG can you drive the firetruck and spray water or are the pumps attached to the motor and you have to be stopped to put it in pump gear?
What is your strategy with the firetruck when there is an approaching fire storm?

The truck has to be in 5th gear and the PTO lever pulled to power the pump, Don, so no moving and spraying is possible.

When the two firemen from Bangor were here during the Saddle Fire, their plan was to have hoses ready, but to keep the house between them and the fire until it passed by. At point they'd man the hose and put out whatever was ablaze. I think that's a good strategy, but might be tempted to keep eyes on the fire as long as I could to see how intense the flames are. There's not much fuel on the ground within 100' of the house, what little there is is fine grasses, and it won't take much water to put it out. I can visualize walking the fire line with a hose and doing just that, while the roof line sprinklers keep the house wet.

I would have preferred the model in all beige tones, less red but this was the show special and I've learned you snooze
you lose with the nice ones.

Look closely and you may see that the design is done with plastic decals, not paint. If that's the case, and you really would prefer to not have them there, you can purchase a "decal eraser" tool and easily and safely remove them. The Vanagon had such a stripe, about 2" wide, running all around the body, and it took less than an hour to remove all of it. And that decal had been on there since 1987; new decals will come off even quicker. Come to think of it, I have a couple of those wheels left over, and would gladly contribute one to the cause if you like.

I've used the hot water pressure washer on the PowerStroke 7.3L Diesel engine in the F250 several times with no ill effects, Drew. But I'd check with the Mercedes dealer to see if it would be OK to do the same on your new baby...

Watching my atomic clock reset itself, never saw that before, hands are spinning around pretty fast.

I have one that started doing that a couple weeks ago. Those hands kept spinning until the battery was good and dead, which is what caused them to start spinning in the first place. The radio that sets the clock won't work on a weak battery, so if yours does the same thing, put in new batteries, which is what I should have done instead of watching wacky hand movements for two days.:confused2:

OK, so who splashed the paint all over it?
One nice thing is that is paint, not stickers stuck on like most rvs.

Wife is trying a new mexican place in town with a friend. Shes bringing me some home.. Hungry already.
