Try the PureGas website for E0 gas stations.

I used to like the NoSpill cans, but the trigger spring on the last one I got was so stiff it was difficult to use. More government over reach I suppose.
two weeks ago, I converted 16 fuel cans to a system that works, I still have a few more to do.

here is the kit I ordered (I ordered several):

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.4C and it's presently 12.2C, overcast & calm with a steady drizzle of rain! There was 2.5mm in the gauge @ 0900 and it's still coming down which is great news for my water tanks.

Yesterday's paddock transfer went very quickly. Just had to empty/move the water trough. Today's rain will negate cleaning up Paddock #4 until later in the week once things have dried enough.

I'll probably do some dhobi today.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 79ºF for the start, partly sky, light breeze. Light wind with some moderate gusts, overcast sky early the partly cloudy., and high temp was 95ºF, HI 101ºF. Rain was near but none fell here. When living in St Louis ares, nearest E0 station over 90 miles away. So everything ran on pump gas, and used stations that had good gas sales. Start treating gas after hearing all the problems, but I had no problems with cars and small engines. Boat got E0 purchased on the lake. I wonder how many people that were having problems with gas that sat in storage tanks and/or distribution channels for long time. Chapel to start day, the made pancakes for breakfast. Got front porch swept off but wind put leaves on already. Almost have tax info done, just need to find dentist payments.
PJ glad heat wave over. Glad you got some rain. Glad you puttered inside and had a great nap :)
Ron hope jump seat works out, sorry about the install issues. Hope the end of the storm clean up is in sight. Hope NASCAR was good.
Drew hope outside work does well. Sorry about the bugs. Good pic of them.
Drew there is a cold front through here, I will not hit 100ºF till later in week. :)
Kilroy glad woodlot visit went well. Good to hear Mrs did good on splitter. Hope you can make improvements to grease system.
Paul glad you had a slow day. Glad friend was able to fly and land plane in usable condition. Hope today went as planned.
Buppies nice rain! Never thought to use out floor scraper on mowing deck. Hope you can get hike in soon.
Buppies Glad you have all your mowing equipment running again. With the emissions on small engines the orifices have gotten smaller, hard to filter out the fines without pressure to push gas through filter. prayers sent.
Thomas sounds like nice critter time last night. Hope today went well.
DFtodd Sounds like nice trailer. Hope it works out for you.
RNG sorry about the power outage. That is weird about the solar output dropping off. Hope you gt your mounting brackets made.
Drew sounds like productive morning already.
Ken sorry about boiler issue. Sorry about wife sick, prayers sent. Hope not too expensive to replace boiler, and after all that work to extend it's like :(
Paul I think almost any station with good gas turnover will not have a lot of gas problems.
Chris the newer carbs have smaller orifices, and yes that makes them more susceptible to dirt in gas.
Kyle glad you got outside light working.
Ted glad you are cooling off. Now get some rain. Nice chunk of change saved on insulation. Hope you can get rest of transplants done soon. Hope materials now have place to be stored.
Kyle sorry to hear about the Osprey accident.
PJ hope you are getting caught up on rain. Hard to find gas line for trimmers rated for ethanol gas. Hope you got your mowing in.
PJ nice story.
Ted good luck with getting new 35mm digital. Nice pics
David good to hear lunch was a success. Sorry about no power to hot tub.
Dennis good to hear worship good. Hope sermon was also. Good to hear lunch spot open again.
Drew sorry to hear tire still leaking. Hope energy conservation was successful.
Ken good to hear power run to garage is complete. Good luck with oil burner shopping.
RNG sorry about the extra effort to get van registered. Grid issues are nation wide.
RS nice weather for a few days. Stout blades. Hope you got front finished. Hope you were able to reduce the targets to get into.
Frits glad the Oregon diaphragm worked. From what I understand new carbs are very fussy to work on. Great pics!
Don congrats on .05 inch rain :) Hope temps back off some.
Paul Thanks for link.
Don nice pics, thanks for sharing.
David glad you have hot tub power issues worked out. Hope you can get power modifications done to pool soon.
Scott(vt) nice car and pic!
Thomas glad good day, hope critters entertaining.
Randy(wag) glad your water tanks are getting replenished. Good to hear paddock transfer complete. hope you dry out soon so you can clean up old paddock.

up early and not thrilled about it
power went off at 1:57; I woke up at 2am to beeping from UPS
got on laptop, 850 homes out, something fairly big, will take a few hours so since
I was wide awake anyway, and I just refilled my propane tank, out I went into the dark
and fired up the gen. Gen makes enough noise can't sleep so will read book.

I have one of those alarms that tells me when street power returns. It has such a loud output I have to
hustle to turn it off, hurts my ears, but I can sure hear it from anywhere in house.

3 o'clock. yawn
going to be a long night

Coffee is brewing. 46° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with bright sun. Got grass mowed yesterday afternoon. Cleaned up tools from Jump Seat project. Then took a nap. Some garden pond maintenance today. No other plans yet.
Second Full Moon for August 2023 will happen on Wednesday around 9:36pm EDT. It will be a Blue Super Moon.

Good Morning All.

70 going to 78...likely showers off and on all day, again.

Got a few small things done and watched some baseball in the afternoon.

Kil, I put those spouts on my wish list...will measure my can openings before ordering. I bought one of the spouts sold for "water" cans years ago, but it's about worn out. Fortunately, all of my plastic gas cans except one were purchased before the newfangled spouts were mandated. I treat them like heirlooms. 😁

super blue moon supposed to be brightest moon of the year
always interesting to see moonlight coming through the windows, casting faint shadows

power came back on after about two hours, 900 homes affected ??

sure going to need a nap today

Good Morning
66 with a high of 75 under mostly cloudy, but dry skies today.

Yesterday was a wonderful day to be outside, but I spent the morning inside on the computer doing paperwork. Went out after lunch to fly models at the club field. Took the string trimmer for a walk when I got home. And went to change the compressor after that. The new compressor was different than the one that came out, the potential relay was unmarked, wasn’t sure how to connect it, so I’m waiting for documentation.

Off to Martha’s Vineyard, Ogdensburg, and home this morning, should be home by noon. Not sure what I’ll get into when I get back, hopefully finish the compressor.

Now that I put all that effort into getting my generator is all back on line, it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another power outage! But that’s even better than having the generator.

Good morning! 73˚F before sunrise, heading to just the mid 90s North wind, partly cloudy skies, humidity 89%. It looks like we will have 2 our 3 days only in the upper nineties stoping our 100˚ streak! But the hundreds return toward the end of the week - it is still August.

Now that my knee is working again might try that Costco run that I did not do last week or clear out the garden this morning.

Luckily, gas can spouts are two standard thread sizes, so the kits work on all but one or two oddballs that haven’t been made in ages…

I do recommend, when drilling for the vent cap, to turn the bit s l o w l y to get the biggest chips possile1;$ then let the flutes cut them off rather than spin at high speed and possibly get debris into the tank. YMMV

i can honestly say that, since installing these, I have almost totally eliminated spillage compared to the new “spilroof” nozzles —- with which I have put more fuel on the ground than I ever did with the old-style nozzles.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

69F going to low 80s, afternoon showers forecasted. Had some afternoon rains yesterday, so we did OK not running irrigation on Saturday.

Harry was a terror at the groomers, Bailey was zero problems as usual. At least they both smell good now! we had them do a Furminator brush out on Bailey - she is a shedding MACHINE! — and she came out looking smaller than when she went in.

We got back too late (and it was too wet) to pick up the carport, but today we will see the lady at her job and pay her and make arrangements to pick it up later today. So today’s activities include emptying the pickup bed (and maybe hosing it out from two years of accumulated schmutz) and putting in a couple pallets (including a 6-footer) to support the pieces a bit beyond the tailgate.

Trip to chiro this afternoon. Maybe we can schedule carport pickup before that…

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

72 outside this AM. May touch 80. 91% humidity. Maybe some rain later. Hopefully.

Busy weekend. But I did manage to get up on the roof of the Milk House and remove part of the chimney to below the roof line. Unfortunately it was exhausting. Legs all bent out of normal directions, hip, knees. Dang. Need to take up some serious stretching going forward. Just exhausting.

Today and this week I will attempt to remove the chimney bricks in the attic. Hopefully it remains below 90 so I can work up there.

Hope all have a great day, a good start to the work week. Be safe. Those ailing, wishing you get better.

Morning all, 71 going up to 80 and partly cloudy.
Got patches cut and ready to go up where ceiling had to be cut for pipe repairs a few months ago.
Have people showing up for new boiler quotes.

Anyone want an old HS Tarn wood/oil burner ? Will be sad to see it go.

Power out at 2am, back at 3am, wonder what broke. Wonder if same issue as over at Drew's since same time? That would be a lot more than 900 houses.

Time to order mini-split? Could use a second job right about now.

Be well,

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏
