76F and partly cloudy @ 13:30, that may well be the high for the day ...
Going through a cooler period for the next four days with highs only in the 70's before the 80's return on Friday.
Woman just came in from weeding out back, says She got hungry ...
Finished up cleaning off the rest of the underside of the Cub deck yesterday, still need to take the debris up to the compost pile:
And swapped out the old blades for the new ones and got those torqued on. Old ones were in pretty decent shape, scraped off the heavy debris, now just need to take them up to the shop for sharpening:
After that I checked the oil, and headed out to start mowing the front. Got that about 75% done, including the part that I wasn't able to finish before all those torrential rains moved in the other day. That part was probably 5" - 6" tall.
Was still wet in spots and kinda made a mess, leaving muddy tracks on the lawn ...
Currently the Ten Day is showing very little chances of rain (< 15% - 20%) throughout the period ... so those will be around for a while ...
Might get the front finished up today ... plus see what else needs cut. Or not.
My mowing yesterday did not prevent the deer from continuing to clean up the apples however:
All the rain has really helped keep things green this year (lawn usually goes dormant and turns brown around this time ... due to lack of moisture) which I'm pretty happy about ... just not real happy about all the mowing that has to occur as a result ...
Today is the last day Menards has Fall Turf Food on sale ... so will probably make up an order for that and get it placed since I never fertilized this year.
Not sure what else we might get into, but it's definitely a target-rich environment.
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday ...
