the heat is back and the nice break of cool weather is over. 69 going to 95 today in sunshine.
was going to mow today but lack of rain has slowed down lawn a little, think I'll procrastinate.
Number one on list today is running water wagon around the property. Then I have more rototilling to do, not too much, replanted cabbage and it simply would not grow in the heat.
grew an incredible patch of weeds though, the airborne seeds/spores are amazing here. Dead spot in lawn? no problem, something will land there and grow...
I don't have good dexterity or strength in my right hand... same here, different reasons. carpal tunnel? been there done that.
now I have carpal arm..... slowly losing my grip.
Farmer, I soak my pto shaft/connector in Kroil, or some spray lube I have with a little teflon in it, nothing thick that will glom up the balls and spring.
Perhaps I've got some overly strong springs too. I'm simply unable to squeeze and hold against those springs for more than a few seconds.
We are still using the same pto arrangment since they first designed tractors and stopped using belts (whump whump whump). After all these years, some inventor
needs to come up with the magic gizmo here. I've seen the bolt on adaptors, means buying a part for every implement. Might be worth it.
Sure would help to be young and strong....
let's be safe today and enjoy the day
