Candy throw out is a big people draw. If they ban it, parades will dwindle.

Yup. An interesting balance of social priorities. Offer somewhat addictive sugar to the masses but at least you get better
retail sales. Hmmmmm.

Buckeye, how are you feeling?

That welding work of RS's is artwork. Very nice. So out of my league.

back to doing wash.
Still sore, just sitting watching football. Enjoyed the parade pics, esp the tractors.

One of these days i will try to weld. I was a welder helper a few times when i was in college. Our old farm truck was bought from him and we named it after him. After he passed, i bought my dad a lincoln tombstone welder, but i never tried to use it.

Yes, Drew, heard the siren. Same system as our tsunami warning and I happened to be outside at the time. Not sure I would have heard if inside and doors closed.

Yea, I was telling someone I didn’t think Hawaii was so much a target. I mean, look how that worked out last time. Now if the Rocketman was to target San Francisco, thank might even get him a Thank you.

Sad how we are having a race to the bottom on who can say the worst the fastest with Trump. Never would have been tolerated before let alone encouraged. And now our news seems to be dominated by folks without integrity or have a platform to be repeated regardless of content.

Seems there is a parade or two every week somewhere in Hawaii celebrating something. Don’t know about the candy though.

Good evening, Got nothing done today, was not in the mood.

Drew, was that you in the parade on your super A? :D I was over at a friends bed store today catching up and he took me in the back and showed me his parade Bed. Has an electric riding mower under it and he drives it with an electric joystick. I doubt it helps him sell beds but he has fun.

Have a good night Ed

Didn't get much done today either. But didn't go backwards!!!!

Did have a downer moment. A very long time friend of mine stopped by to ask about a rental that I have been working on. He wants it for his daughter. She can afford it, and I think she is great. Problem is she has a brother who is a complete stoner, user, jailbird, I would use the word bum, but they have standards!!! I fear that as it is a 2 bedroom unit, her brother will want to move in, and she wont say no. This guy is destructive, and imho dangerous. The family is very protective of this goof. I feel I am in a no win situation, his dad is one of my oldest friends, but his son is felon, and a scary one at that. Any criticism of the son sets the whole family off..... I told him I have other folks interested.

40 currently. Mid 60’s for hog today and next few days.

Wow, you guys surprised me. Never having welded. Taught myself to weld at about 14. Guess I always took it fore granted that everyone around equipment welded. I never made the welding team. Bead wasn’t pretty enough. By my senior year in high school I was the one the AG teachers would come to when they had something they needed repaired. About half the time after a welding team member failed to get it to hold. I was also the painter. Painted 3 tractors my junior and senior year.

Drew. Nice parade pictures. That def tank on that M7 was almost the size of a fuel tank. That’s not good.

Buckeye and buppies get well.

Finished my final mowing of the year. We are getting dry. Starting to see some weather patterns that look similar to 2011-2012 winter. We dozed all winter and some guys worked ground all winter. Then in 2012 we got to set some records for heat and drought. My 12’ deep 1 acre lake was about 4’ deep and only about a quarter of an acre in size by the end of the summer. We were feeding hay by August. Hopefully not. Maybe some of our local weathermen can help out there.

Worked in chicken coops for several hours today. Had forgotten how much my back has been saved by having younger help around. Did close to 200 toe touches today. (Picking up feed trays.) Get to repeat with different amounts for next 5 days. Bet I start loosing some of this weight faster. I’m down about 10 pounds from my heaviest.

I the feeders would be hanging from the rafters? I have my feeders that way? Or is this for the baby chicks?

I used to do some welding, but it's been over 30 years. I would like to get some equipment, but I really don't need it. I did mig, heli arc, and silver soldering in a die shop. Loooong ago!

Good morning all. Temperature has climbed to 9C/48F already and it's still dark. Once it's daylight I will look over the sheep and then dig up this year's Christmas tree. Most of them have put on a fair bit of growth this year, no doubt in response to the cool damp summer.

I'm tempted to select a really ugly one first, with stunted uneven branches and bare patches, then leave it outside the window set in a tub at an angle to rival the leaning tower of Pisa. A second replacement tree a few hours later should then look great in comparison and may just win me a gold star from teacher :)
