27 going to 53....got down about 5 degrees lower than the forecast.

Drew, that doesn't look like any peanut hay I've ever seen...always dark brown after the peanuts are picked and the vines lay in the sun to dry. Maybe there's another type.

I missed Drew's pic of peanut hay and had to go back several pages to find it. I agree 100% that is not peanut hay. It is as you describe, I know I've handled many bales. Dark brown almost a gray color, with thick vines and roots. https://www.backyardherds.com/attachments/hay-12-jpg.595/ You will always see the roots in the peanut hay like the ones in the pic hanging on the fence. That hay pic looks like Bermuda hay.

Good morning. It's very foggy and 50˚ heading to 77˚. Goal today is to finish trimming the front fence line, got about 1/4 more to go.

Next week we have about 4 days in the 30's and my WBS remote electrical fresh air intake is not working. Oh no. When the house was built I put in a small door to service it but then the foam people sprayed the electrical control vent into the wall. I have a lot of work to do to remove the electrical vent from the duct work and the foamed wall and replace it with this: ADC4 4 inch 24V Normally Closed Shut-off Damper with Motor

28° and frost, sun will take that away soon.
Slept half the night in recliner, then couch. Just ate and took am meds.
Recliner foot rest getting stuck half way up. 30 yo Lazy boy chair.
No big plans today. Will miss the neighbors tree cutting party they have every yr. Bunch of their relatives come, they go out together and cut a christmas tree🌳, then come back for a potluck meal. They always invite us. We use fake tree now. My wife will go over, maybe she will bring me some food.
Will watch some 🏈.

Hope Drew and Randy have a good lunch together.

Deer hunters are active, lots of noise.

My wife is allergic to peanuts, can have tree nuts.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 5:30AM. Considerable cloudiness. Occasional rain showers this afternoon. High around 55F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

I hope your doctors run out of operations before they run out of you, Buppies. And most of all that you'll be healed and pain free very soon!

Good to see you takin' it easy, Buckeye. Hope you're back on your feet before Xmas.

Never saw a peanut plant before, Don. Thanks for posting the pics.

A few days ago I tossed the broken pin wrench I made for the shocks into the campfire embers in hopes it would anneal, but apparently it wasn't hot enough. Fished it out with a magnet yesterday, and used a carbide cutter in the mill to cut new pins, leaving more material to support them. Heated the shock body up with a torch, but the lock ring still wouldn't break free. The wrench tore out on side of the slot it mates to in the shock, so I gave up and ordered new shocks. I was told they're made in Sweden for BMW Classic, the on again off again arm of BMW that's responsible for keeping the old machines on the road. Fortunately they don't cost anywhere near what a modern shock costs, and the set of four will come in at a little less than the last rear shock I purchased.

Noticed yesterday that the iPad isn't charging when plugged in, and apparently it hasn't been since it was "upgraded" to the latest version of iOS a few days ago. Lots of people are apparently having the same problem, and one work around (not from Apple) is to put it into Airport mode. Now you'd think they'd do enough testing before releasing new software to detect this kind of thing, but then I guess that's not the way business is done anymore. Yet another sign of the approaching apocalypse.:confused2:

Had half a Costco rotisserie chicken leftover from last week, so threw it into the Instant Pot for half an hour steam bath day before yesterday to stew. It was cool yesterday morning, so I boned it and made chicken noodle soup with the broth. Boiled the noodles in the instant pot, too. Very tasty, and very easy, but it's also easy to miss a bone or two when taking the chicken apart.:(

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

The low was 25* this morning with clear skies. It got up 49* yesterday. Today's going to be about the same. Looks like we will have a cold front come though Sunday with a 80% chance of snow.

Going up to help a neighbor do some stuff later today. Not sure what he needs done.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Buckeye and Buppies, get better dudes!
No particular plans today except I’m keeping my nearly 6 year old grandson tonight so daughter and son in law can go to a Christmas party. Wife and I had promised to do it. Weather is still decent, 26 early mid 50’s today and some clouds are moving in.

Never seen peanuts, but we noticed cotton in northern Florida and into Alabama earlier this year. I was surprised at the dairy industry in Florida, some big operations there. I guess they have to be big nowadays. One of my grandfathers milked 40 head, that was considered a respectable size, back in the day. He had guernseys

Be safe
Have a great day
