And a year later Ron and no cedar has fallen off. IMG_1044.JPG

Wngsprd, I also finished the trimming of the front fence line at sunset. 3 days and filled up 7 times.
61˚

I also got the failed auto damper out of the inline fresh air vent for the WBS that was in the wall with a small 10" access door, and hooked the line direct until a new 120v electric damper arrives.

All I need to do now is cut and split some wood by Tuesday before the weather turns wet and cold.

24 right now...high 30's today. Hopefully, less damp which made yesterday feel chillier than it was.

Like yesterday, no plans...watched some TV (I'm not normally a TV watcher) and caught up on a video game I started a month ago. Probably repeat those activities today... The pup loves to watch TV...and loves someone to watch with her so she can curl up with them

36 out this AM, grey overcast sky. Cleanup day today.

I hope all are doing better this fine Sunday morning. Stay positive! Although if you are like me, the colder weather kind of knocks one back a step.

I cleaned up all the safety switches on that Kubota yesterday. No emery cloth available, so I used some fine grit sandpaper. That did the job, thank goodness. The history on those safety switches finally caught up to mine after 15 years.

I finally cleaned up part of the back yards fence line. Unfortunate the work was on a sad note, as one of the dogs passed, so their "run" is not needed any longer. I managed to find a nylon type bone with the tractor. Been looking for that, forever. Happy thoughts came over me as I de-constructed the old fences with bolt cutters and wire clippers. There were like three layers of fence around that "run". Those dogs just wanted to be with us all the time and always managed a jail break. Only age and love slowed them down from those fences. That and their teeth got ground down chewing on metal. LOL.

Anyway, I hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Oh, and I hear all the worlds troubles will be solved with a new plan by noon-ish today! That's really great. You all be safe in your travels.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 5:00AM. Plenty of sunshine. High near 50F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Only 0.06" of rain fell overnight, and no more in the forecast for at least a week. That's nice for keeping the campfire wood pile dry, but not so good for the landscaping.

Do you plant a younger tree each year so you'll have one small enough to fit into the house in the future, Eric? If so, who picks which one to take home?

Hope your trip goes smoothly, Drew. If you and Randy can solve even one of the world's problems over lunch, we'll all be a lot better off.

Apple released a new update yesterday that didn't seem to fix the iPad charging problem, but toggling Airplay on/off seems to have brought it back.:confused2: No rhyme or reason to how or why. Other than someone that was supposed to check for such things before the software was released, didn't.

After 54 years the lower shock mounts on the rear shocks off the old BMW seem to be very solidly attached, with no intention of turning loose of the shock body. Gave them both a good dose of Kroil yesterday, along with some heat, and will keep it up until they let go. Tried using the fancy Craftsman strap wrenches, but both rubber straps just slipped around the body. Fortunately the old nylon strap on the Rigid wrench held tight, but not as tight as the threads it was trying to loosen...

One of the buttons on the front of the GPS came off on the last trip, fortunately when the unit was in my pocket. Garmin will no longer provide service or parts for it (it's only five or six years old), but others with the same problem have had luck fixing it with dabs of silicon caulking applied from behind the panel. Removed the eight very tiny Torx fasteners to get it apart yesterday and lathered it up with silicon, then gave it a nice warm spot to sit next to the woodstove while it cures. Hopefully it's good enough to put back together today, as I've got a trip down to the SF Bay Area planned for Monday and Tuesday.

Continuing the Steve McQueen kick, The Sand Pebbles graced last night's agenda. Another classic. But three hours of run time had me taking advantage of the Intermission in the middle.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

Morning all. 36°

Felt sick in stomach all night, not sure what caused that. Need to eat something to take my am meds, but dont feel like eating.

My dad is notorious for his Charlie brown trees. We never bought a christmas tree, which are all pruned, but would top a fir tree on the farm. He would drill a hole and add a limb in a bare spot when needed. The trees were way more open, easier to hang decorations. We loved those non perfect trees, sure made a lot of good memories.

My dad was telling me the other day of the big thanksgiving snow of 1950. Snowed a week, roads drifted shut. Had to bring a dozer from a quarry to open the roads.

Drew, have a good trip.
Riptide, good to hear from you.
Wndsprd, maybe they will chase you out a deer yet.
Buppies, sounds like you are healing ok.
Spiros, welcome to the forum.

Ill try to hang in there....

Overcast and 37* this morning, it was nice yesterday if you were in the sun it was 54*. Looks like rain changing to snow by afternoon with a high in the low 40's and windy.

Have a couple of little things I would like to get done today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

When Charles Schultz and his team came up with the longstanding Charlie Brown Christmas kids show, the network wanted him to take out Linus' short, but very important sermon. Schultz held firm and told them no. I'm thankful he held his ground.

Wish I was nearer, I'd crash Drew and Randy's party.

BEF, prayers to get things settled down.

Bups, you too.

We had a postcard gorgeous weather day yesterday. A buddy came over to fish and I took 2 of the kids out there. I have to say I'm impressed at my 7 year old boy, he fished an artificial lure (the same one) hard for the 2 hours we were out there. It was a slow day, my buddy caught 3 or 4, I caught 3, my boy caught 1 (but he missed some strikes). Only my oldest daughter did not catch a fish. She started trying to catch small minnows instead.

Today is cloudy but warm 57F going to 72F.

RNG, I'm not holding my breath with 50 years of corrosion. Will be amazed if they come apart. Are they galvanically corroded? Is it stainless? Stainless is horrible about galling threads. One should always use nickel based teflon tape or anti-sieze to put stainless pipe threads together if you ever hope to take them apart.

A lot of 1 sided college games yesterday.
