ok, who broke the site
gateway errors for some time, glad it's back up.

might get into trouble, little Massey calling to me today, only five grand, Iseki 27hp 4wd less than 1000 hours, owned by dealers BIL since new.
Just needs paint and two inexpensive front tires.
hmmmmmmmmmm

Drew, if I ever bought a fixer upper from a dealer, I would make part of the deal for them to sell me parts at dealer cost plus shipping associated to that tractor, up to some number. Like maybe $1000 worth??? Or else let them fix the things before purchasing at an agreed to option.

I was looking at a very sad shape mower, similar to Ron's F style deere and it needed A LOT OF LOVE. Love meaning $$$ of parts and time. I never even began to haggle as I really did not need it,,,,but if I did, I would ask for the above type of deal.

Eric, your right, tires are the maximum size for fender, did not rub when put on, but tire stretch cause problem. Button head is 2 mm shorter, and now no rub :).

Never heard of the Wilburys, but like buppies Blind Faith was closer to my tastes back then.

Photos from last Saturdays ride, my riding companions for the day, The older guy lives across the street, the one to the left is his son.

I lucked into a great pole saw about 30 years ago, and soon wore the label off, but wish I could remember the brand...never seen another like it. Made of what looks like white PVC, two sizes to enable telescoping...it saws and lops. I've changed the blade a few times, and the rope maybe once...indestructible and strong. Eric, it's too big to put on my pillow.

Billy, anyone who joined Good Morning after a certain Macnaught K32 came into my life will have no idea what you are talking about - and if my wife should ask, neither do I.

Now if you still really loved that pole saw you would try two pillows, or is there truth in the rumour that you are now flirting with a slender electrifying model ? ;)

Good morning all. A little tired this morning, the wind kept waking us last night and I struggled to get back to sleep, thanks to a meal we had. We had dinned out and I foolishly tried what was said to be a traditional Spanish dish, a sort of broth with salted cod. Fish is my favourite, so I was easily tempted to try something new, however we have very little extra salt in our meals so I guess my tolerance to an excess is poor, I felt awful and couldn't finish it.

It brought back again one of my first memories of snow at my grandparents house. Wearing woollen mittens to keep my hands warm, I was let out in the garden to play. Occasionally I would suck off the snow that was left clinging to the wool. Then I made the mistake of making snow balls out of the snow on the next house's steps, which compressed much better than the snow on the grass. With hindsight I now know that was because they had put rock salt on the steps to clear them, only I didn't understand that at the time and had no real comprehension of what that would do to my tongue, not until I once more sucked the snow from my mittens - again that strange wet wool texture, the cool liquid and then ... :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

Good, I hadn't heard of them either and they are really cool, RIP.

Now Mostly, that's a bad band for you to like as a cyclist.
Do you ever find your way home?

Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton - Can't Find My Way Home - YouTube

one of my favorite bands too, came out during college. I liked the Band too.

60 going to 83 in morning fog. Houseguests coming in late this afternoon, much to do.

48 headed to 83.

Buppies, sounds bad. At least he didn't finish the job and pave you :). As a reward, you do get to go to Blacksburg today.

Took advantage of the great weather yesterday and took Coco for a nice hike in Shenandoah National Park...Brown Rocky Mountain Trail...no streams or waterfalls, just good rocky outcroppings with nice views of the Shenandoah Valley, Massanutten, and Elkton. Ed, you've probably been where I parked - the overlook at milepost 77. Many of the red maple leaves were on the ground...very colorful, but it's been so dry, they're falling off already. Lots of orange sassafras leaves on the trees, and maroon dogwoods...and purple asters blooming along the trail. Hiked a few miles back where fire cleared some of the forest years ago, so now that area is full of wild huckleberry and some small white pines. Only saw one person on the trail...a guy about my age that told me he started out before sunrise...even earlier than me.
