That turnout gear sure made my car trunk smell bad. It was not allowed in the house, just the garage
for cleaning. Hard to get that smell out. We found citrus spray helped. Now I bet that Australian tea tree oil
would help.

In the summertime Dad would lay his gear out on the driveway and I would scrub it with Tide and a floor scrubbing brush. He would hose it off. Leave it in the sun for an hour, then pack it away in the trunk.

Rick, a good tube to find a few seconds:
Putting on fire gear fast!!!! - YouTube

Good stuff Don. In our situation, we carry all our gear in our own trucks so .. sometimes we're gearing up in the middle of a field.

Having the luxury of boots in pants .. that you can just step into on concrete floor .. saves lots of time.

I have noticed a software update on the Tempest weather station. One of the changes is that it now measures rain fall to the nearest one hundred thousands of an inch (instead of tenths) from the vibration plate. An advantage to determine how hard it is raining - when the number changes rapidly. Rainfall today so far is
0.011754”.
FireWise has been called off.

That’s pretty precise, mine just reads to one hundredths. (.06)

64°F and 1.25 inches rain and still coming down, but may get a break. 1 hundredth here also.

Don, does the history report 24 hour summaries? I’m curious if the solar radiation could be of value to me re my solar electric, as in measure my panel production against their measurement.

Definitely a wet indoor, energy conservation day

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Charleston SC is my guess

I figured port would be Charleston or Norfolk without looking it up. I just know from common geography that the closest point is Hatteras.

Edit: I forgot about Port of Wilmington.

Good afternoon! 32 now, was 38 earlier which is higher than forecast. Has been sunny all day.

Got a 都pecial project this morning that my boss needed for a meeting at 1:00. Hopefully having it in his hands by 11:00 was quick enough. Fortunately, when you have good data to work with, doing special summaries is a lot easier.

Had to go pick up 2 prescriptions I forgot yesterday. So did some other errands. Got home and found some obscure Amal carburetor information for a friend who needed it. Knew I had it, just had to figure out where. Found some other missing info and pictures. Got it all sitting there waiting to be organized tomorrow.

Seems all of you are keeping busy. Wish I could keep up.

Maybe I will start the tractor tomorrow. It hasn稚 been run since early November.

Everyone stay safe out there!

My wife was able to get us on the PA covid vaccination list. Sounds like they opened it up at noon. You had to sign up under 1a as other. We'll see.

I had several locals tell me about new online sign up, but when I went there, all I got was:
We are updating our pre-registration forms based on the new Pennsylvania State guidelines. This link will be available again shortly
So no joy. I signed up once manually, can't hurt to do it again on latest system.

quiet night ahead
Sure hope tomorrow goes peacefully in DC and elsewhere

Yes it does - for all readings, for every day, from the day you install it.
Example from dec 1.

Ok, I see Sloar Radiation High and Average. No total?
I wonder if the total would be the average X hours of sunlight? What would you compare it to - the total energy saved in the battery bank? How is that measured?

I had several locals tell me about new online sign up, but when I went there, all I got was: . . .

I had an email at 4pm to sign up for tomorrow morning, 300 doses were coming in, at 4:08 I was signed up to get contacted. So far no contact. I guess in those 8 minutes more than 300 people got ahead of me. The email said you will not receive your place in line and we do not know when we will contact you. This is ridiculous. If it is this hard getting the first shot the second one without them hold back any will be impossible.

Are you using this as a reference? It shows availability at St. David's.

Just dead ends there. -"St. David's HealthCare continues to focus its vaccination efforts on Phase 1A healthcare workers, including physicians, clinical and support staff, and first responders.
For now, it is too early in the process to know when more vaccines will be approved or when we may have additional guidance on when vaccines will be available to our patients and community. "

The email came from FHS. The one that has 39,000 on the wait list (this morning) with a delivery of 6,000 doses, that the tx site says. So with a waitlist of now over 50K why would they send out another e-mail to sign up for 300 doses - makes no sense.

4.30 pm and 27 deg C so very pleasant. I had a quicktrip to local town (Gatton) to find a coolant hose for my Kioti.
It lasted 14 years. Didn't even bother pricing Kioti hose as prices here are silly and they wouldn't keep one anyway.
I bought a heater hose for a V6 Holden that was the right shape and cut the unwanted bit off. Fitted perfectly and then filled with new coolant.
Then I had to deal with the flat front tyre. Lifted the tractor with the FEL and removed the wheel. Let the remaining air out and jumped on the bead and it popped straight away. 2 tyre levers had it off the rim in a minute or so and found a pin-prick hole in the tube. I had a spare tube so threw it in and levered the tyre back on and had it back on in a couple of minutes.
Back in my apprenticeship days we had no fancy gear for changing tyres over so I can do it pretty quick still at 72.
Anyway, little Panther (Kioti) is back in business. She has been a great machine from day one.
I think sodamo will testify to how good they are as his is the same as mine. ( just noticed he has sold his one)
Mine has 677 hours up.

News over here about your elections is full on. I think the world is watching with intrigue.
Hope it all works out OK.

Covid fully under control here. Normal life goes on.

Get first Covid Vaccine today. Take Sassy in for grooming in afternoon. Do need to clean walkways from 1" of snow. To cold for other outside projects.
