I’m tempted to get a dual fuel generator. We have few outages, but it would be nice to have 50A 240v for water during an outage. Since I put in geo, I could put the generator right outside the panel, under the meter where the old Ac unit sat.

If I was the farmer, not sure I壇 be happy with them landing and running all over my crop field. Think there is winter wheat there now. Sure was pretty though.

I always forget to add stabil. Noticed the ZT surging some when first started yesterday. I will put some sea foam in the tank.

We had heavy frost this morning. Windshield iced over.

Another gorgeous day.

They are pretty while in the air,
the trouble begins when they land.
Many of them have no respect for private property,
driving trucks and trailers though field, leaving wheel tracks and trash.
And many of them have quite the atitude.

after two hours in Sunday tourist traffic and shopping for curtains at Lowes and Target, just take me out and shoot me.
Gosh I hate shopping...thank goodness my lady friend knew what she was doing and offered to hem all the curtains. Yeah.
time for a nap

I was surprised to find my windshield iced over when I went out this morning, 69 now. It’s been a beautiful fall day. We got the spraying done on the whole property, then washed the house, all the railings and the three out buildings. Put away most of the deck cushions after a good washing. Just kept out a couple for us to use until it really gets cold. I discovered I have to replace the battery in the small tractor. No charge at all, test proved it. I winterized the sprayer when I was done.
Put a big ol’ pot of chili on this morning, its smelling good in here now.

A late good morning.
70° and .04 inches rain.
Thought was to attempt balancing football and working my wall, but rain is influencing to favor football.

My primary internet is acting up again, signal from AT&T to my Mofi . Mofi thinks it is getting signal but doesn’t have internet. Happens periodically but usually short lived except last Sunday and today. Luckily my Mobley works, just not as fast. Sophie doesn’t like it when she can’t access the wx station
It appears my new Unifi setup will offer a solution. Connect Mofi as primary to USG, Mobley as secondary and set up as balanced. This is becoming an educational experience!!!

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Sounds like you are getting settled in Drew. Strange about lack of E0 stations.

28 right now...high in the upper 50's today.
We're going to blow out the gutters sometime today...most of the trees close to the house have lost most of their leaves. I picked up a gutter cleaning kit (last fall) that's attached to a leaf blower...looks to be a two person job (one holding the blower, the supporting the 11' extension). When I bought it last year, we'd already cleaned the gutters...hope it works as advertised and the leaves aren't too wet..
I really don't like getting up on ladders. Fell off the ladder (10 foot) a couple years ago doing the leaf removal
Stepdaughter also wants to pick up a dining table (she already brought the chairs home) somebody gave her. We'll see if this happens...
Ended up watch "1917" and the John Carpenter flick "Starman". "1917" was good...somewhat too long IMHO, but worth a watch. "Starman"...well, most of you are probably familiar with that flick

Roy, dislike ladders more and more. Never had a bad fall TG, but too many trips up and down when using.

My problem is a gimpy leg and foot from a stroke...couple decades ago...walking is OK, for the most part. Stairs and ladders can be problematic, unless I'm careful.
No luck with the gutter cleaning...the two extension cords I have won't fit the Black and Decker electric leaf blower I have. The one extension cord I had the would got chewed up by my neighbor's snow blow last winter (he was clearing my drive when I was out of state last year). I'll pick up another 50 or 100 foot cord this week...

Roy, my experience with cleaning gutters with a blower is that a face shield or at least glassed is a good idea. If the plastic on the plug is keeping the extension cord from fitting you can sometimes trim it with a sharp knife.

but am stumped trying to find a
ethanol free gas station in this area, there simply aren't any.

Drew, Home Depot sells ethanol free gasoline.

Ron, thanks, Great pic 🤙

Drew I would think as long as it supplied necessary BTUs it would work.

Wngsprd, sometimes a good pot of soup just can’t be beat.

RS, hope you give us a report on that wet sand blast kit. I’ve been curious.

RNG, good find 🤙🤙 curious how your battery monitoring is progressing.

Never been really good with the Sta Bil add, but I did switch everything, including Pilot and Ridgeline to E0. Think I get better mileage.

Pretty site, Dennis.

Oops, didn’t hit Reply

Guess I’d better not complain about $3+ per gal.

This includes stabilizer for long term storage and convenient quart cans, buying 6 cans reduces the cost to $19 a gallon. How many emergencies are you expecting a year?

I think my kubota dealer sells it in gallon cans.

Good morning, the temp is 44°F and going to 50. Wind S 14 gusting to 22 mph. Periods of rain.

"and on the seventh day He rested." That is exactly what I am going to do today.

Have a safe and healthy day all

Me too, rest that is. Daughter played guitar and sang in church today. I did the slides. Went to friends and had hamburgers and a South African style of pork/beef sausage. It was good.

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 6:45AM. Sunny. High around 90F. Winds light and variable.

Drew, does this help? Pure-Gas

Uneventful run to town yesterday, except for a nice bottle of Dalwhinnie I found hiding on a low shelf at Costco.

Finished assembling the carb I cleaned yesterday, and let the other one luxuriate in the solvent spa overnight before I massage the new parts into it today.

Got a nap worked in there, too, along with a little music on the back porch. Look forward to a little more of that tonight, too.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

A wee dram of Dalwhinnie for the lizards too?

Hope not many at that price. find a friend, who has a friend, that has an airplane at the little old country airport....and go get some 100LL . It keeps. Should be less than $5/gallon.

Eric, don't let the sun go down on you, until your done. Interesting what all you can hear at a vantage point, with the wind calm or blowing slightly towards you.

Sophie, nice photos.

BEF, nice lawn. Looks like a park.

Ron, cool bird. It looks like it's getting cool up there my friend.

Hope all of you had a blessed day. Lots of good peeps offering sage advice/(advise for Eric?). Lou, David, the list is long.

Wng, was the Anatolian well mannered? How's coco?

Good evening all. 71F and overcast, windy. Overcast thinned out late afternoon, windy most of the day, and high temp was 84F. Seeing some rain in 10-day forecast, but less than .2 inches total, hoping for more rain than that. Chapel first on the agenda then made wife's breakfast, watched some football napped and walked with wife. No gopher work.
Covid update: Cooke unchanged, Montague unchanged, Grayson unchanged.
Luther nice rain

Chris

I'll be wearing goggles...the one cord I could trim is a bit too short...20'. The longer cord has three outlets on the end...don't want to lose those extra outlets. I need a longer single outlet cord anyway...for plugging the block heater of the Deere. I'll pick one up this week.
Thanks for the tips though!
