Drew, hope you find ethanol free gas. Airport?
interesting you say that, only distributor anywhere close has 95, 98 octane and 112, way higher than regular gasoline, wondered if
it was some kind of aviation gas or car racing gas, and last post they wanted 9 dollars a gallon. Well, no....better for me to buy regular premium and every six months
pour it in tank of car and get a fresh 5 gallons. Just not going to pour it in tank of generator unless I run out of propane.
Two 30 pounders should give me about 22 hours of run time, maybe more.

I was looking at this propane regulator for twin tanks, designed for rv's, can anyone think of why this wouldn't work on a portable generator?

Good morning, the temp is 44°F and going to 50. Wind S 14 gusting to 22 mph. Periods of rain.

"and on the seventh day He rested." That is exactly what I am going to do today.

Have a safe and healthy day all

37 and roof frost, going to 65 today. Another nice day.

Thomas, sounds like most of your snow will be gone before dinner time.

Ron, great nuthatch pic...our nuthatches love suet, too. In winter I make a cornmeal/peanut butter/lard mix that they like even better.

Hiked in the battlefield forest park yesterday...very busy trail...saw 16 people and 5 dogs over a 4 mile distance...talked with one couple my age with 4 dogs...one a beautiful 140 lb Anatolian Shepherd. Ground at home was still too soft from the rain to use the tractor, so wheel-barrowed half a pallet of firewood onto the porch to fill up our rack. Had to do a little gasket repair, so didn't fire up the woodstove, letting it cure. Sweetheart wife made a nice big pot of vegetable soup for dinner.

Eric, I noticed a lot of sounds yesterday, too...for a longer than normal period I heard no cars, trains, planes or any engines...so every bird sounded that much more distinct.

I wonder if you might better be served with a simple Tee connector so as to draw from both cylinders at the same time,
if it gets real cold will one tank be able to vaporize enough fuel to run your generator.

good point Lou. Factory brochure shows unit running off a single 20 pounder. I figured by going up to a 30 (heaviest my back will allow...) should give me some vaporization protection.
Worst case I'll dump the gasoline in and run it on that.

Ron, yes marine Stabil the best but seems like after five years, even if running unit dry, I always seem to get a gunked carb/jets. Using E0 eliminated that.
I was paying 2.75 a gallon for 93 octane E0 in NC, sure would like to find that again.
But if I can't, using Stabil a must.

sun is coming up, looks like another beautiful day, watching the leaves start to change color. Not many have come down yet though.

Mostly_gas
It is dwarf prickly pear, all over the OBX.

Drew, that is similar to my setup for the bigger garage heater. I would have bought a 100lb tank but someone gave me two 50’s. So $40 for a twin regulator was cheaper.

35° headed to 67° later, warmer weather this week, might see 80° one day, breakfast, church service then get to work. Great picture as usual Ron.
