thanks for the well wishes, got home from the hospital a little bit ago. 2nd time this year for this type of procedure, slightly different this time. Wanted to get it done before the end of the year since the deductible is meet. will know in a few months how well it does. Now to relax for a week, can't make it to our high school state football tournament this weekend, playing in Ravens Stadium.

Good morning, all....negative news to report...my spouse got a letter from Social Security yesterday that said her SSDI benefits are being suspended because they feel she is able to work full time...she teaches part time at a local college but for health reasons cannot work full time...and yes she has always faithfully reported her income from teaching. We are not looking forward to dealing with the Social Security staff at the local office today, having heard horror stories about the long waits to meet with staff and the longer waits (months and months) trying to get a cancelled disability benefit reinstated or changed to regular Social Security (she is 63). On the other hand, we helped our friend who recently moved pick up furniture found on Craigslist last night and delivered it to her new townhouse...she was thrilled to get our help on such short notice. It made us feel good to assist her. Weather forecast calls for warming temps up to 46 degrees here by Friday...weird for December but that is Michigan. Enjoy your Wednesday, everyone.

Not the best news for sure. Good luck with the process.

Amazing...members here create all kinds of hype regarding a stupid boat and an aquarium yet when I ask for opinions about my spouses SSDI being cut off NOBODY CARES that our income is being cut in half and all anyone can say is "Consult a lawyer"....I think I am done with TBN....

Rereading you post, not sure I see where you asked for anything, not that you provided much info to comment on and you haven't made yourself very well known here.

Pretty caring lot here, but we don't come looking for a pity party.

Thanks Sodamo, couldn't say it better myself. I didn't read that he wanted advise and I know if you want to fight SSA you have to hire a lawyer, an individual can not win. Guess that is not what he wanted to hear. Sorry for his loss, does anyone want to complain how much they lost in 08... life is tough.

Farmer, so are you a Capricorn or Sagittarius? I have 2 siblings that were born the 9th & 10th and I am the end of the month... maybe that is why I like goats:D

Buckeye, glad everything went well and hope you are doing better with every minute

Got to use the tractor today!!! Moved the hay cradle, set a new round bale, and moved the water tank and water lines for it for the horses over to the larger new pasture, then set up new water tank for the cows in the smaller new pasture and unrolled them some hay. As soon as I was done the skies opened up and we are getting a nice shower. It can only help the grass.

The hay cradle I purchased from Agri Supply has worked out very well, but they are very pricey. I am thinking of setting 4 ea 4x4s about a foot out of the ground and then strapping one section of a 3 piece hay ring to them making my own. TSC has the ring for about 170 and I could get 3 cradles out of it, but it just sounds way to easy. What am I missing here? Why won't it work?

There's not really much any of us can advise on your situation...and info from a bunch of opinionated amateurs isn't really going to correct the problem...that's one thing.
Secondly, we're here for fun...and boats and aquariums may be interesting to some, but they're both lightweight subjects we can have fun with...nothing too serious.

If you're looking for serious comment on your situation, an internet forum probably isn't the best place to get it. So, don't sulk...

Kev. I'm a Sagittarius. 16th.

No I'd rather forget '08. SSA is a tough one and everybody I've ever talked to about disability benefits has said they had to get a lawyer. I know of some that started at the lawyers office and they received their benefits without a single appeal.

Buckeye. That sounds like good news. Speedy recovery.

Your day sounds very similar to mine. I moved the bull. Separated out a freezer steer then turned the heifers cows and bull all out onto a new pasture. Went to move the water trough and mineral feeder managed to hang truck up but tractor pulled it out easier than I thought. I could move but kept sliding towards the fence.

As far as your feeders. I'm not sure. Never used that style before. Could you post a couple of pictures.

Thanks Kev

Actually, my wife was disapproved for SS disability when she first applied. Given she had been 5 months in the hospital and still getting therapy as well as already on long term disability from her employer, her form letter disapproval made no sense. From my research, at that point in the process the only difference between what we could do versus a lawyer was just the fee collected by the lawyer, the forms and process were the same. I did the appeal myself and was successful. That maybe different for disability that has been approved then revoked, hoping not to have to find out as wife is 62 and I believe her disability continues until age 66 as she has achieved maximum medical improvement. I have tried, without success, to determine what if any the difference in amount would be between the disability payment vs her regular SS.

My birthday being last week, I'm a Sagittarius.

I tried using the tractor today, mow with the flail. Just too wet. Almost slid into the fence at bottom of a double hill that slopes the third direction toward fence. Did that a couple years ago and learned that retrieval is a PITA, either have to wait for dryness or attempt from top of slope with about 100 ft of strap.
