I did little searching on TBN, but did not see much about welding gasses for MIG.
I have done a little amount of wire welding(enough to be considered dangerous):) but I am used to stick welding. I have just purchased a wire welder.(after years of wanting to get one, or a TIG:D) I was wondering if there are many negatives to using m2 gas for my steel welding(and also stainless). The main reason is: the company I work for keeps this around(and also a buddie who lives very close) so if I need an exchange even on Sundays I can just go get one of theirs and pay to have them refill mine during the week while I am working wherever I am during that week(construction life:mad:). I have also noticed it lays a much cleaner bead(but it sounds a lot different than I am used to. How is the penetration diff is the weld any stronger/weaker? So what are the negatives? If any. And so on...

Thanks to all for any info

Eric

I have never even heard of m2. What company sells it? It might just be a stores name for something like 75-25.
