Is your property such you could lease it to a hunting club who would patrol it for you? Or to a gun club for shooting who also would patrol it? No idea there but here for carry permit there is required shooting in the training. Maybe who ever taught your wife could use part of the land on a frequent basis with their classes. They might be a good source to ask for help.

I would be very careful about making it well know your wife is scared and you are out of town. People of this level might just as soon shot her as the deer. If the videos could be connected to monitors in house it might give your wife security. You may could also find a company who monitors them. My guess is if you install sirens they would just shoot them after a time or two.

Sorry this is happening to anyone but especially to a faithful solider. God protect you and your wife.

Do they own the property they are on? If not the owner may be willing to evict. It is possible they are in drugs or such and the sheriff and not bothering while trying to build case. Knew of a case like that in our county a few years back.

Do resist the temptation and suggestion of damaging their property, guess who would end up in jail!

You should post the sherriff's contact info here. I am sure a few of our group would be willing to call him to ask why he won't take care of a serving veteran.

Maybe someone close to call a congressman in your behalf.

It T's me off to hear what they are doing. Scum is correct, who knows maybe we can set up a TBN blanket party.

I would be willing to call. Hey, have an idea off of this...contact Bill O'Reily on Fox news. He often does segments on such as this sheriff.

I used infrared area alarms. They can shoot up to 300'

You put one on each corner of anything between 100' and 300' and if they cross that invisible line alarms, lights, etc all go off.

Amazing with money so tight you now have to spend thousands to protect what you have.

I better stop typing right now or I'll be thrown off this site.

this is my thoughts on this.
1. contact the base liazion officer, get him to call the worthless cop, this will get others involved. the sheriff should by law have to investigate the property damage vandalized that mule was/is worth over 500 bucks that makes it a felony not withstanding the attempted arson in ohio.
2. call insurance tell them what has happened get them involved as well that way you can start building a case for destruction of private property they will force the cop to get off his lazy f@t @rse and get out to do his job.
like others contact local VFW and maybe even your home base commander for similar assistance from the base legal department. You are active duty now and you are entitled to their help dealing with even the civilian problems when you are away and at war.
3. as soon as you are back, get busy moving you fence back to the property line maybe add some weedburner charger to the top as well.. if you leave them keep using it then you can lose it.
4. start target practicing out by the woods every chance you and at different times. post that military vet shooting range even invite some of the local VFW people over :)
5, sure why not raise a few hogs, :D (just check into the local ordnances for live stock some counties say not with in XXX feet of property line...

I really don't think any of the alarm, fence, door, or camera stuff is gonna do any good except make you feel good for a few weeks.

The best defense is a better offense. I suggest you perform a one at a time disappearing act.

Many thanks for your service to our county, really. Is your wife able to get the sheriff involved. I guess I am kind of confused why you are doing this long distance from Iraq. Instead of calling an e-mailing the sheriff did you wife go down to thier office to file a complaint? The other thing she can do is take out a restraining order on the neighbors, if a sheriff won't listen to her I bet a judge will. Once a restraining order is issued if the neighbors violate it then it is back to see the judge. I think that is the approach I would take. As a woman I would go down to the sheriffs office file my complaint and then I would find out how to get a restraining order against the neighbors. Cameras will validate their compliance with the restraining order. It is much different to go in person than to try and accomplish the same thing over the phone. If she goes down to see the sheriff in person I can hardly believe they will not make a report on it.

The other thing you can do is find out who his opponent was in the last election who lost to the current sheriff and ask him for help. :)

Hi Shaun,

I know it burns you up being over there with the insurgents running amok at your place. Your wife is top priority on the security issue. Your plan looks pretty good to me. I know it's a lot of money...but I feel your wife is in a pretty bad state of mind after all those happenings. It will help. Hang in there...you will be home soon and can do something more about the situation. Then you can be confrontational with the sheriff and whoever else. Are there any friends nearby that you can ask to make their presence known at odd hours? That would make the best impression, especially along with a little gunfire to make noise. How much longer till you rotate home for good?

Spiker, Rox and the others make good sense. Didn't think of the VFW. I am sure they will help out until then.

Let us know what happens.

I have been caught sleeping I guess. My third barn faces away from the house. An unknown subject went in and slashed all the tires on my Kawasaki Mule, dumped out all my petrol, oil, and lubricants, tried to start a fire which thankfully must have put itself out, and likely harassed (by throwing rocks at him) my dog who was inside the barn in his kennel. My spouse was at a concealed weapons permit class at the time of the vandalism.

FIRST OF ALL WELCOME TO TBN!

AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Since you will be called to service and you will be leaving, I really believe the military should be able to help you. My sisters husband is in the Army and they live in California, the military is moving them to
Hawaii. (If they help someone move, WHY can't they help you.)

This is a serious problem here. i would put up game cameras, wired security cameras, solar sensor lights.

I WOULD ALSO PUT UP A ELECTRIC FENCE. you can get them solar also.
I have wired security cameras,(record when I'm gone) sensor lights, fence all around, electric fence, double gates, pole lights, driveway alarms on gates, and 63 guns with years of ammunition.

GET YOUR PROPERTY FENCED IN AND GET YOU A BIG BULL.

*Call the FBI.
*Call the homeland security department.

*Send email to LOU DOBBS AT CNN.(he is the only one on the news that cares about the soldiers, tell him the sheriffs name and your story.)

*SEND EMAIL TO TED NUGENT.

*call the attorney generals office in your state. This really will help.

pray everyday!__THIS WILL BE THE BEST.

Be careful and keep us posted.

Shaun I want to thank you for your service to our country. I know it has to be stressful enough without this going on at home. I will pray for you and your wife for your safe return and her saftey as well. I would legaly post the property. I agree with putting the fence where it belongs and installing weed burner electric fence possibly a couple strands. I know that you would not want anything bad to happen to anyone but you may not want them to think so. A mean dog barks and growls so that he doesnt have to bite, but pressed he will bite. Sometimes it pays to growl and bark a little and make them think you will bite. The cameras are a great idea and make sure that they are of the quality that you can Identify someone. There is a pepper spray product that is tripped automatically when someone enters a building and it floods the entire building with a pepper spray fog and they will not stay there. Then it indexes around to the next can in case the intruders return. I say this because it may be a deterant to someone going futher with their actions. It might be Its called a "Repulsar IV" https://www.stopthecrime.com/prod-repulsar4.htm

I hope all goes well and I will remember you and your wife in my prayers.

Awesome, thanks for some ideas.

The State Patrol has been by twice and my wife is pleased with what actions they are taking.

The insurance company has assigned an investigator to follow behind the law enforcement but the adjuster has not been by yet.

Really liked the idea about Homeland Security as this is an attack against "domestic food production" or "terrorism against farmers" by environmentalists or something like that. I am a officer and the Army is not as involved in these types of things as you would think. We have had to really kick butt to protect our guys and their families at unit level. My wife's family is all local but they do not understand why she would want a farm and live so far off the road. She said she is getting a second German Shepherd although our current one almost ripped through his chain link from the looks of things, either scared of the fire or because he wanted to kill the subject.

I have put into action the other things, the new locks, securing one barn, infrared cameras, having damage repaired.

My wife is capable but I feel it is my duty to protect her and make her feel safe.

I like the suggestions. My farm is a big rectangle, I am at the southwest corner, the problem people are at the southeast corner, the whole farm is fenced with woven wire and posted with signs every 50 meters. I would like to run electric wire on top of the woven wire next.

Yes, Redbug, it is frustrating to have insurgents attacking my rear home base, insurgents are very annoying suckers, it takes a lot of effort and dedication to defeat them, you have to be able to endure. Spiker has a good plan, as do everyone, that was the feedback I was looking for.

I have a VFW post close by, I am a Amvets member but I was going to join the VFW too. When I get home I have so much work to do! The older vets seemed to join those organizations to get out of the house!

As for the Sheriff, I am done with that. They are not malicious just incompetent and stupid. In this day and age they have deputies wandering around without body armor and revolvers (I know, I know, a reliable but low capacity weapon).

Thanks a million, heading out on mission!
