Electric razors

I can't imagine (unless forced into it for medical reasons...) anyone preferring an electric over a blade.

In spite of my doctors direction after a medical procedure last year, I kept using my blade. That's how much I despise electrics! :shocked:

None of them work as well as the blade that's for sure. Once a week I use a blade.

When I first started shaving as a young feller, I got a Schick because I knew that was what my Dad used. Many years later I fell for Victor Kiam's TV commercials and got a Remington. That was a terrible piece of junk, so I got a Norelco 7825XL in 2002 and always liked it, but they supposedly quit making the replacement heads, so I tried a Braun in 2016 for a very short time before returning it for a refund. It was bad enough that I wasn't ashamed to ask for my money back. So in November, 2016, I bought a Norelco S9311; not a bad shaver but quite possibly the most over priced shaver on the market with it's cleaning station and very high priced replacement heads. I later learned that there ARE replacement heads that will fit my old 7825XL; just that they quit making the OEM heads.

There is no "Impressing" with my ugly mug. I shave with my hair clippers about 3 or 4 times a year. 2 store-bought haircuts a year too. I just hate to rush in to anything.

I've had better luck with Panasonic's wet dry shavers. I had old Norelco and remmington shavers, maybe they're better now, but the Panasonic works well for me. Even bought one for my son.

How does it do at bottom of your neck? My Panasonic has a similar style head as pictured in amazon link. In some spots it worked fine, but there was no angle, no way to stretch my skin, no way to align Jupiter with Mars while standing on one foot and get it to shave well below the jaw bone. Gave to a buddy of mine who is of different ancestry than I am - he's more of a Native American & N. European mix. He really likes it & his facial hair is fine/thin enough it does well for him. Benefits of not having your last name end in a vowel I guess....

It shaves the bottom of my neck just fine and I'm sort of in your vowel category. I love the Panasonic and, unless it changes, never going back.

Never used anything BUT a Norelco. Had a corded version forever then bought a cordless. Surprisingly the cordless didn't shave any better than the old corded one but it's handier to use. They don't give you a razor sharp shave but it gets close enough for me.
