The 'M' or 'MX' is simply too big for me. If the loader test fails I will give the LS MT342H dealer a call. His tractor has a load rating of 2,680#. The price would be less as well.

It sounds like a used skidsteer is in your future based on your budget.

If you need to unload heavy pallets buy a used forklift. You can get a older 5,000 lb cushion tired unit for under $5K.

CUT's are UTILITY tractors, like a swiss army knife, do a little bit of everything but excel at nothing. If your expectations are to have one machine to do everything then you will be disappointed.

If you insist on heavy lift capacity on a small CUT tractor frame buy an old M59, if you are lucky you might find one for $30K. Lifts 4,000 lbs. You will need the BH on as counter weight unless you prefer driving on only two wheels.

BTW I also have a 5,000 lb forklift and a ZTR to cut grass because they are better at what I need them to do. My M59 has no problems unloading 3,000 lb pallets of wet sod off of trailers on soft ground.

It seems like the length, height, weight, wheelbase, etc on the mt342 puts it physically right on par with a MX Kubota.

You insist on comparing a smaller L.....but the only thing smaller on the LS is the engine HP.

So I'll question why you think an MX is too big? Because if it is, the LS is gonna be too big too.

I have no formal lift or reach requirements.

lift heavy items in and out of my truck and trailer.

What type of loads? The pallet of bricks/blocks shown will be more stable than a round hale bale or a tank of liquid.

How far off the truck/trailer? Stacking beside, or moving some distance? As noted, moving a heavy load will be hard on tires and drive and suspension components.

Over what type of surface? Level, hard packed or paved will be more forgiving than sloped turf.

Our B26 and M59 are used 90% in 3pt mode. BIL’s L39 100% 3pt. Mowing, bush hogging, grade work etc. Appreciate the higher FEL lift capacity, and articulation to move heavy stuff all the time. Often on uneven or soft ground. We lose the ability to remove the loader but with several ag Kubotas never did that.

Equipment needs change and always a compromise.

Current tractor is an LS XJ2025H. It is only 4' wide and came with a 50" bucket. Lots of power for 25hp. Lift capacity is north of 1,300#. Bought a heavy 60" bucket used for snow removal. Some items around my camp an hour away are 2,000# which I plan on selling, but need to load onto a semi-trailer. Bought a retirement house with 10 hilly wooded acres and several narrow trails in the woods. The driveway is 200 to 300' long thru the woods. The trails are very uneven so I bought 50 yards of fill to start leveling out. The little tractor is ok with a load but the project may take a couple more years. A 4' wide tractor is not great for uneven terrain. Looking at adding the 8 acre wooded lot next door with more trails. Lost most of the strength in my left leg from the recent VAX shots so mounting and dismounting a cabbed tractor will not work. Also just had a 48' x 56' shed built which will need the grade finished before the slabs are placed next May. New tractor will have a 6' bucket which will help with snow removal and placing more fill in depressions and leveling in a more timely manner. The older tractor will be brought up to camp as a backup to the toolcat which has been challenged to keep running lately.

Why even bother then? Just go with the LS. Lift capacity is about all you have mentioned so just save the dealer the trouble and get your LS. Should be a good machine (cant speak for the dealer/parts/service) but you are focused on capacity. I would recommend rear ballast at all times While lifting those loads.

I just traded in my LS MT342 H for a Kubota 4060 Le. The LS is a good heavy built tractor. Runs smooth. Stable. The things I did not like was the slow hydraulics and the hydro pedals. The servo on the the Kubota and JD is much smoother. What I found in real world application was the lift capacity of the LS seemed to be overrated compared the John Deere 4052r tractor I had. The same things I lifted easily with the JD I could not with the LS. I was using the same set of lifting forks. The LS has a higher rated lift capacity. That being said there is a huge price difference. I would test one from the dealer lifting the things you want to lift. If it does the job great. Nothing wrong with the LS tractor or brand. The LS does have a terrible floppy bucket syndrome. Little things like the hydraulic issues bothers some worse than others. If you can swing it get the higher horse power 352 or 357. Also if you buy the LS remove the travel restrictor pin on the reverse peddle. Good luck with your choice.

The DK50 loader is rated to 2750 full height at the pins. I can lift a 2000lb skid of pellets and double stack them. So basically about 5' of clearance under the pallet. No issues turning or with stability. Stability is alot on the operator. I did up my relief 100psi to be able to double stack. So roughly 2700psi. Just for reference. CJ

Hoping to buy a new HST Loader Tractor - full sized compact frame.

Kubota has always been at or near the top of my list.

However while researching, the lift capacity posted for the various Kubota CUT's are significantly LESS than most of the competition.

Trying to get at least 2,000# lift capacity without buying an 'M' Series. Budget is around ~ $30,000.

Any insights?

That, among other things, is why I ended up buying a Mahindra. It replaced my worn-out Kubota.

I needed good FEL lifting but wanted cat 1 in the rear. You won't get it for $30K but that's why I bought my JCB MIDICX. The 4:1bucket alone ways 800lbs.
it's a construction type tractor that can do Ag. work, instead of the other way around.
Look at used JD110. Very similar
