It sounds like a used skidsteer is in your future based on your budget.The 'M' or 'MX' is simply too big for me. If the loader test fails I will give the LS MT342H dealer a call. His tractor has a load rating of 2,680#. The price would be less as well.

If you need to unload heavy pallets buy a used forklift. You can get a older 5,000 lb cushion tired unit for under $5K.
CUT's are UTILITY tractors, like a swiss army knife, do a little bit of everything but excel at nothing. If your expectations are to have one machine to do everything then you will be disappointed.
If you insist on heavy lift capacity on a small CUT tractor frame buy an old M59, if you are lucky you might find one for $30K. Lifts 4,000 lbs. You will need the BH on as counter weight unless you prefer driving on only two wheels.
BTW I also have a 5,000 lb forklift and a ZTR to cut grass because they are better at what I need them to do. My M59 has no problems unloading 3,000 lb pallets of wet sod off of trailers on soft ground.
