However, looking at your stream, you have a lot of twists and turns. This pipe is not flexible so may not be the answer.

The main part of the stream that is diverting is basically straight. Can you suggest something that might work better if I did have to have it installed in parts of the stream that curve or wind?

What you need is 12" black flexible corrugated culvert pipe.

Use a backhoe and dig a sloped trench/ditch for the stream bed. Put the plastic down and then line it with crushed stone rocks over the plastic. Slope it with measurements so that it is alway running down hill. It should last forever.

I thought the same, but have zero knowledge on this matter. I think Lowes has 20' x 12" sections for $ 150.....which means maybe a landscaper has it for much less.

?? They make the flex that big? I think the biggest I have seen is 8".
