Funny you mentions SHARP teeth. When I got my rock bucket with teeth from PowerTrac, the teeth were about 3/8" thick and rounded. They had a flat face. Someone on TBN suggested I sharpen the tips with a grinder. I did. GRRRRrrrr!! Digs right in now. Teeth make a huge difference VS a flat straight edge of a bucket. And they help in loose material like gravel, rocks and mulch, too.

When I had a skidsteer, it came with a plain bucket and a tooth bucket. The tooth bucket never came off. Most of my work was in the woods and ditches, and the tooth bucket was a must. I actually preferred it for spreading and smoothing - the teeth chopped up and tore apart the roots and grass, and when tilted, it was like a sawtooth trowel that made smoothing out easier.

I have a grapple bucket with teeth and a large material bucket with a tooth bar. Then I got the Ratchet Rake for the LMB. I like it much better - easy on and off and the downward facing teeth get used for removing gravel from the lawn due to snow plowing, scraping off weeds and grass, etc. A very useful implement when needed. Making your own would not be that hard. I have used it for digging but the conventional bar is better if doing an extended amount of digging.

I read this thread and came to realize that Power Trac is better than any CUT ever made ;)
