Gettin tired of winter... cabin fever is starting to get to me... listening to the kids fighting (they have it too) as I look out the windows at 'not enough snow to need plowed' that covers our yard, driveway, and fields... seeing so meny things I want to do when nice weather shows up. Brush hogging all over.... landscaping the yard... cutting in a drive way to the lower section of the barn... skidding some saw logs... cutting some locust trees for posts... clearing trails for the kids and their ponys... cuttin firewood... the list goes on.

C'mon springtime!

I third that. Just got my new tractor a couple months ago. Got all kinds of projects waiting on the weather. Might have to touch up the snow drifts in the driveway tomorrow.

Before you know it you'll be in mud and biting bugs and you'll wish project list would stop growing, beside we go thru it year one way or another.

That is the nature of the Human being. If it's cold, he wants it warm, but then it gets hot so then he wants it cold again. Only a few million folks live where it is balmy year round. I have been there and done that and it is really kind of a boring life. Wake up everyday to 75-85 degree weather, everyday is the same, nothing to note that the time is passing just more of the same everyday.
I prefer having seasons of spring to make you anticipate close of winter and approach of summer, then fall to allow you some relief from the summers heat and the anticipation of colder days of winter.
How many have sat in the shade of summer's 90-110F heat and wished for winter to hurry up and get here only to then sit bundled up and wish for spring.

Kick the kids outside. Make fun of it. With all the things we do in the summer, they always talk about tobaganning. Even on the hottest days at the lake.

I don't understand. Cabin fever in West Virginia??!? You aren't snowed in... so.... you can easily go outside and do things. On the other hand, you said you do have some snow, so the kids can go sledding and whatnot. Right? If it's over 10 degrees, or the sun is shining, that's a good day to bundle up and get outside. Don't let the cold(er) weather hold you back!

In my view, cabin fever should only apply to people in states where the snow piles up several feet deep and there's just nothing you can do about it. But even so, there are so many fun things to do. Snowshoe, cross country ski, snowmobile, downhill ski/board, ice fish, etc.

I just built an igloo in my backyard. Since winter has no signs of letting go anytime soon, might as well celebrate it.

Good time to prune fruit trees, if you're up north anyway.
