Branson 3510 (2004) lost hydraulics (three point and front end loader)

That part number does match the housing and looks like it's used on all the other Kukje A series engines.

Found that part on the Branson United Kingdom website just to see what price that goes for and they list it at around $28. Somehow I expected it to be a lot more expensive as it goes with any tractor OEM part. On the other hand, the pump is like $450. I've sure the prices will vary over there.

That’s good news, i was worried I wouldn’t find that part. I expected the pump to be pretty expensive.
Time to put a parts list togethe.
Again, I truly appreciate your help ptsg.

No worries Mike! This is what forums are for. To help each other figuring out this kind of issues.

So true Omega Woods! I wouldn’t have attempted this repair without this forum and help from its members, especially ptsg.

I just left the Dealership, parts are ordered and expected in 3-5 business days!
I think I have it covered, here’s a list of what I ordered.

HK02340000B3 COVER HYD PUMP GEAR 1 @ $ 24.72
HRA4000300A3 HYD PUMP GEAR. 1 @ $ 69.62
HK02350000A4 PACKING (GASKET). 1 @ $ 2.14
24101-060064 BEARING, BALL 2 @ $ 11.06
NT99010000A3 HYDPUMP13CC. 1 @ $327.54
HH02080000A4 PACKING (HYD PUMP)
(GASKET) 1 @ $ 1.66

I’ll also need gasket sealer, filters/oil
Total before shipping (couldn’t be calculated I’ll owe it when parts come in). $ 479.15

I have to say I expected it to be more expensive than that, hopefully parts make it here that quickly and things go back together without issue.

That's actually not that bad at all! I would expect something over $700 easily.

Thanks for the detailed update Mike.

Had a similar problem and it turned out that one of my hydraulic connectors between the loader and the tractor was not fully engaged. It looked fine until I gave it a tug and realized it was not fully connected. Pushed it in and hydraulics returned... of course this was after about 4 hours of looking for air in the lines, checking my rear hydraulic controls, connecting and disconnecting my third function, etc.

Searching for direction on my Branson hydraulics problem. While moving rock with the front end loader I noticed a lot of oil on the ground. I shut it down and discovered I lost the hydraulic oil level indicator sight glass. i was able to find it, clean things up, reseal and reinstall it. I refilled the hydraulic/transmission fluid to proper level. I went back to work, scooped up a bucket full of rock and proceeded to dump it where I needed it to go, after dumping, the bucket would not curl back up. I checked hyd/fluid which showed low so I added a bit more To top it off. I have no hydraulics, the loaded will not raise or curl, the three point hitch will not raise. i removed the bucket from the front end loader and the grader box from the three point hitch. i drove the tractor back up to my garage, I have no leaks and fluid level is good.
I don’t know much about the hydro system, is it reasonable to think I burnt the pump up? I would appreciate any help on diagnostics for my problem.

Thanks,
Mike
Mike I have had this happen to me several times, most of the time it is an O ring damaged and will spray fluid everwhere in a hurry. A few times I had to go inside the cylinder and find a blown O ring leaking fluid by resulting in no hyd. pressure at all. hope this may be a good point to look at if the other post dont pan out

If only it had been as simple as an o ring.
I have replaced numerous o rings on the quick connect couplers at the loader control in the past. It seems that the vibrations eventually wear them out, I’ve never lost hydraulics due to this, only got annoying leaks from the bad o rings.

Right now I have fear of the unknown, why did the hyd. pump drive gear wear out… old pump spins freely, bearings on each side of the hyd pump gear seem ok (it’s all being replaced w/new parts).

Just a recap on how this all started, while moving rock (crushed stone, gravel) I noticed oil on ground, shut down tractor. I found that the oil level indicator sight glass was missing. Sight glass was found on ground at rock pile I was moving (Location of glass was about the distance of the length of the tractor from the rock pile)
After reinstalling it and refilling the lost fluid, hydraulics worked, I scooped one bucket full of rock and drove about 50feet to work location and dumped loader, at that point I lost hydraulics.

Thoughts on why the drive gear gave up the ghost?
I’m concerned about a blockage or restriction Possibly?
There was no “Bang or anything that I noticed prior to failure”
I’d hate to reassemble only to have the same failure happen again.

Thanks,
Mike

I have a Jinma 354. After replacing 2 pumps, I installed a pressure relief valve to relieve pressure in case of some malfunction causing a "deadhead" condition (overpressure). I finally found the issue to be a problem in the loader control valve, but the relief saved my pump several times. I don't think the Branson has one.
