Pump doesn’t want come out, in the diagram ptsg posted it shows a gasket or a spacer numbered - 4. I have a spacer that is about 3/8” thick shaped like diagram part # 4 this spacer doesn’t want to separate from the pump. When I try to pry the pump out a cylinder about the size of the inner diameter of the gasket/spacer (it’s probably 3”) is coming with the pump. I don’t think this is right and am afraid it is a cam or drive sprocket for the pump. I am definitely not seeing a small shaft like the posted diagram. I’m afraid the pump shaft isnt separating as it should. Throwing in the towel for today.

Back at it early today, that pump was he!! To get off, results pump is out.
I now know why I had metal shavings in the hyd. fluid
the drive shaft of the pump showed a bit of wear but didn’t look too bad. The mating drive ”sleeve“ that the pump shaft inserts into is trashed. I pulled the front pump “power-steering“
which came out easily, it’s shaft, and that part of the drive sleeve is in good condition.
I think this job just got a lot bigger.. I also destroyed what I’d describe as a bearing retainer which is between the hyd. Pump and the housing that drives the pump.
Does anyone have experience replacing this pump drive part?
looks like a fair amount of work accessing it.

At least, you figured out exactly what was wrong with it.

I should've asked this before but I forgot that tractor came with two engines. The Kukje A1700, which I believe is what you have and a Yanmar engine.

Here is the parts manuals for the one with the A1700 engine:

Definitely a KUkJE, From valve cover EPA Engine Family 1KMCL1.56T11 Engine Displacement 1.56LITRE
KUKJE Machinery Co. Ltd

I DisconnectEd Battery then removed the Alt. Rad. Fan and shroud WP pulley and belt, air filter/hose.
Any thing to warn me about before I remove what I would call a timing case cover if I were working on gasoline engine?
I'm hoping the oil pan won’t need to be completely removed.

I’ll check out the parts manual.

Cant thank you enough ptsg!

Interesting. All the manuals, mention the A1700 engine, which is a 1.7 liter displacement, for the 3510 model. The 1.53 liter is the engine that's used on the Branson 2810, basically the 29hp version of your tractor.

From the parts diagram, looks like that bearing mount (#7 on the picture below) is removable without taking the timing cover off. What exactly did you damage?

I was surprised to see the HP/liter too, it even says 28hp on that tag.
I destroyed the flange (?) called “ cover HYD pump gear”
part # HK02350000A4

i have everything apart, timing cover is off and I drove the bearing/drive gear out. This would only come out by pulling the cover. Another long day, but I’m about half way through I guess.
Now to come up with a complete parts list for re-assembly.

I owe you big for the help ptsg!

I googled that part number and come up with just the gasket that goes between the timing cover and the bearing housing.

I'm just trying to help you out on this deal as I can. 👍

So far, I believe you definitely need a new hydraulic pump, the damaged part and maybe a gasket or two.

In The diagram you posted (ptsg) the part I destroyed has a 7 with a circle around it and - 18 I believe, it’s sandwiched between two gaskets highest part of the diagram.

Oh I see. Yes, that's indeed the bearing housing/support or whatever they call it.

Hopefully that part will be available.
