Hi Lou,

Thanks, I bought a Kubota L3901, went with HST, loader, canopy, third function and a grapple that’s on order (not in stock).

Got the call late Friday, correct parts were in.
I picked them up Saturday but didn’t find time to install until today. I got it back together, just a few odds and ins to finish up. I did get to start it and check function out, all seems good.

I did purchase a replacement Tractor, there just isn’t enough support for Branson in my area, sticker shock on parts and wait time to come from Korea was another factor.

Mike
What kind of replacement tractor did you buy Mike?

I'm currently trying to replace the hydro pump on my early 4020. Got the pump ready to come out but it won't pull out, tried to remove the steering pump, it won't come out. They hydro pump will move a little but it won't pull out of the gear. I haven't gotten to the point of removing the gear cover but I'd guess that's next.

Mine was the same, the way the shaft failed it created a lip and misalignment of the shaft/gear locking things together. In my case the ps pump did come off. The hydro was a battle and I did some extra damage getting it off.

I got the Hydro pump out, the shaft is intact, a little rusty, seems like there's a lot of rust dust on the bearing, still haven't got the PS pump off but at this point, I'm guessing I'll need to pull the gear cover and check everything out.

Update: Well, I put it all back together with the new pump to get the loader off, hydraulics are running good, sounds good. I replaced the 90 rubber elbow feeding the pump as it was cracked on the end, maybe the pump was sucking air from the crack and that's why it failed.

The 3 point is starting to bounce, I replaced the seal for that a few years ago, and I'm guessing whatever happened, I'll be replacing that here again shortly.
