John Deere 2320
Hey everyone, I just got myself a Front Quick Hitch for my 2320. I am going to build a blade for it then later on maybe a blower since I also got the drive shafts. I am in the designing stage right now should be starting to build in a week or two. It going to be similar to the blade I build for my front end loader. The attached photos are of my loader plade.

The first one looks great. I like the original John Deere labels

The labels make everyone think that it is a john deere product. They don't believe me that I made it. My plan is to make this blade also look like a factory made item.

Picked up the materials tonight. Hopefully I can stay late at work tomorrow and machine the plate steel. Then Friday afternoon I will bring the parts to a local metal fab shop and get them to roll and bend the blade for me. Then the assembly with begin:cool2: Pictures are coming...

Are you going to add hydraulic angle to it? What program did you do the drawing in?

You got it right Kennyd, This blade is going to attach to the factory made front quick hitch from JD. So to answer your question 94Bullitt... Yes it will have hydraulic angle.

I went to the metal fab shop on the way home tonight and dropped off the piece so they can roll and bend the blade for me. I should be getting it Monday. I will try and get some pics up tomorrow of what I've got made so far.

Sorry 94Bullitt I forgot to tell you what program I used. I used Solid Works. Very fancy program and confusing at times but I like playing around with it some times to see what I can get drawn up.

I'd like to have something like that but it is right expensive isn't it?

Just curious, if you have a blade for your loader, why do you want one for you quick hitch(attach)?
Just for the hydraulic angle?

The hydraulic angling is one reason and this way I have more toys to play with:D. I also figured I can used the front hitch blade for levelling dirt or spreading gravel. I've tried leveling dirt with the loader and it work but I figured the way the tractor is more like a dozer. I originally bought the quick hitch because I wanted to but a blower on the front but I wont be able to build one before winter so I figured I make a blade and next summer maybe start on the blower.

It is very expensive but I got lucky as my neighbor work with it at work and got me a trial copy. I just can't do the updates. There might be more you cant do but I don't come close to using the program to its full potential.

Here are a couple picks of the parts I made minus the ones the metal fab shop has.

As for being more like a dozer...

Here is a video of my kubota b2920 with front quick hitch blade.

Size comparison; your 2320 is slightly larger and heavier.

Works very very well; but not like a dozer by any means.

Your front blade looks very nice!!! I wish I had access to a machine shop in my area to do the rolls, etc. I'm kinda in the sticks.... Great work!!! Anxious to see the finished product.

I have the JD front blade with Quick Hitch for my JD2210. I love the hyd angle. Speeds up snow removal tremendously. I do all my snow removal with it. Have moved a little dirt but not much. I bought rear chains and used them the first year and haven't put them on since. I'm really surprised what that little tractor will push. A big snow for us is 8" though.
