The Yards Brawler has a moderate coffee flavor and a bit of a toast flavor. It’s awesome.

I'll bring marshmallows, you bring Graham crackers. Hay Dude is probably close to Hershey. He can bring some chocolate.
I can also bring Yeungling and Brawler AND the Hershey’s chocolate, but YOU have to bring the BRISKET.

Since I am severely lactose intolerant I can't drink Guinness and most dark beers :-(
But luckily , being between Philly and NY, can get almost any beer from any country.
Some of the local brewers are getting pretty good too.

I don't have anyone on ignore, and I have had people go after me.
All fine, brought up with a dad with a belt, so my skin isn't too thin.

While I don't agree with some on certain items, there is usually a lot of common ground.
I spent a lot of my childhood in very rural MA and a lot in NY on LI and NYC.

It was fun being in two very different worlds and hearing the opinions of many.

The lumberjacks were always interesting, not heavy on schooling, but they understood people really well and were far from naive, more so than many of the city folk.

The gossip and being in other peoples business is so very different small town vs. big city.

I love having my tractor, and the advice I get on projects from the group.

Wrong thread. In this one if you disobey your doctor you could be banned. No, wait...you're not in Canada are you?
Hell, in Canada they probably prescribe s'mores to the diabetic...

Never thought I would see those combination of words. I've never associated Guinness with lactose intolerance.

Dang, I apparently have rookie numbers🧐
Life's too short to listen to aholes. The reason I moved out of the city a few years ago to get away from a few ahole neighbors. At least in the country, with enough acreage, I usually can't hear any of the neighbors.

The reason many stouts are called Milk stouts, they use lactose to fortify.
Now , back to the show...

How Guinness is made
Guinness is created using four key ingredients – roasted barley, malted barley, hops, yeast and water making Guinness dairy-free.

Don't see any lactose added in this process nor do I see the term Milk on the label of Guinness.

Now, back to the show.

I think of it like Coors was a long time ago. You couldn't get it everywhere so it developed a bit of a cult following. It's OK, but nothing I would go out of my way to buy. (Or spell correctly)

We proved it does, very, very painfully.
It's a sugar created as part of the process, and since it's not derived from dairy.......

Lactose is added to pills as a filler, and some luncheon meats as a sweetener.

Ales, pilsners, IPAs, all work fine though !

you can get trippel in the states. My daughter plays college field hockey with some Belgian players and they stayed at our house over the holidays last 3 years. As a thanks, the parents sent me Belgian beer. It came from a distributor in the states. I think it was in Illinois???
The total wine store I occasionally visit carries several Belgian beers. They are very expensive, so they are only bought occasionally. They are unique and very tasty. I guess I could also take a trip to the monestary.
