On any given day it could be about any of us. Most of us regular posters do ruffle some feathers on some topics. It’s ok to disagree and argue your opinion. As long as personal attacks are left out of the discussion. Those are never ok.

I’m even okay with personal attacks as long as you have data and are willing to have a discussion about it. If we don’t ruffle feathers or get ours ruffled have we really challenged our own beliefs and reasoning?

We can vehemently disagree about issues, but I don’t think personal insults are ever ok. Those are the only people I ignore.

This is where one might get in trouble by either the recipient has a very thin skin or actually misinterpreted a poorly written comment that was intended to be a joke.

It seems (to me) that our collective skin has become nearly translucent.

The subject at hand isn’t neccessarily hurt feelz. It’s multiple popular threads being closed because a single member gets folks worked up enough they start coloring outside the lines. Unprovoked a lot of those threads would probably still be going just fine.

I have been informed by a secret source of the name of the accused.
My take is I know what to expect, I usually skip reading much of it. But I have developed a picture in my mind of this little old man. He doesn't have much to do (or can do) and his little bit of research, cutting/pasting and composing his part probably filled his morning time until its lunch.
I'm good with that.

This is a good point, the 6 wheel dude doesn't really attack anyone, he just annoys the bejabbers out of everyone who doesn't put him on ignore list. Annoying probably isn't worthy of banishment. Sort of like petty theft doesn't get you life.

If you still don't have some people on your ignore list, you are a better person than I. If you don't have them on ignore and you still complain about them, then you are just a dumber person than I.
