I had hoped to make some progress on the deck railing, but with temps going down into the teens this week, I decided that stocking up on firewood was more important.

Mr. Fuller Looking at the National weather report they mentioned interstate in Northern Ariz will be closed due to snow. I just wondered how you were doing. Looks like maybe a long winter from amount of storms from Calif.

House is looking good. About finished with the heavy work.

We are getting a few inches. I have plenty of firewood stocked up so let winter come.

Instead of doing the railing, I have been busy sealing up cracks, giving the logs another coat of varathane, and painting the chinking.

Ken,

We got about 22 inches over Thanksgiving holiday. Then it rained and melted it all. Needless to say, it is mud city now. We just postponed our Association Board meeting a week because of the muddy roads.

Ken,

I remember that one year the snow was deep enough to hide all the cars in parking lot for about 10 days .then small bumps showed the large front end loader driver where the vehicles were to removed the snow. The mountain near the railroad tracks south of Seligman our Microwave site needed attention and a dozer was hired to drag the truck to the site. cross country and over trees gullies and rocks . then when equipment was fixed drug the truck off the mt. it loocked like a demolation truck after that.
Mt Walulapi. near Kingman the snow so deep a Cat D 9 took 3 days to get within a mile of the M/w site and the technicman used snow shoes to walk down to truck. took all after noon and when I asked why it took so long he replyed kept falling into the tree tops and had to climb out.
A couple of men died from carbon Monoxide in area close to Phoenix.
That high voltage power line near your location was whipping in circle and a large arc of voltage when phases came close to each other.
Think have already memtion this in past posting .

When had chance took next job in Southern N.Mex.
Mr. Fuller thanks for the message.

Finally got back to work on the deck. Here is the landing and stairs that I built a couple days ago. I still need to do the railings, but no more using a ladder to get up onto the deck.

There are a lot of GREAT build threads on here. I would not like to be one of the judges for the “best”, but thanks for the compliment.
